Anyone doing a Flames of Ignaffar build? (Inquisitor)

Yeah, that part seems bad, but doesn’t seem to be holding me back in practice. Now that I know how to build and play it better I could have finished Veteran on HC pretty easily. I facetanked Shar’Zul five or six levels under him which I found hilarious on a caster since I normally have to kite a bit. I’ll write it up if it stays valid in Ultimate.

Here’s my very revamped build with items. The chest piece is giving me fits and I’m really not sure if really putting that much physique in is worth it, but I do love the proc.

Is this build possible it seems not possible qua devotion altho i am kinda a noob could you explain it a bit more?

@Ptirodaktill as far as i can see the devotion is not possible or do i see it wrong?

There’s plenty of gear that ups both chaos and burn damage if you want to focus on both. I’ve had no issue gearing for my chaos/vitality deceiver FoI build. You get to choose between fire/chaos/burn gear and chaos/vitality gear. Meaning more chances something useful drops.

You have tried this build? Could you tell me how its like?

Is the Devotion even possible? because to me it does not seem possible can you explain what you would do or did?

I made a few changes though the gear is mostly same sans placeholder boots.

Aura of censure is just awesome for this build, but after playing in A5 ultimate for some time I had to change priorities, and replaced it with aura of conviction for physical res.

Do you know that FoI lifesteals through its %weapon damage? Its one of the things that keeps me up and enables to facetank crowds. With bloodthirster (granted skill from haunted steel) it is even possible to facetank bosses. Don’t try it with the most hard hitting ones though, like cabra.

-200 DA for 5 sec to horn of Gandarr on the offhand does affect boss monsters. Together with FoI itself applying chance to fumble this makes giving up flashbang reasonable. Flashbang is simpler to use though.

My current tooltip DPS is 170-180K but its exactly like aether ray in that the number feels much higher than the real performance.

Overal its a rather glassy character, but is still a better than average caster.

All right great information thank you very mutch it really helps me altho 1 question how did you do the Devotion? I bet you selected some other constolations and after finishing you refunded them(i know its possible). Do you remember how you did it, so which did you pick first to refund it later? (I am kinda new to Grim Dawn so its really hard for me to do it)

Thanks you so mutch it helps a lot but i was wondering how the hell do you do the devotion? i cant seem to figure it out i am pretty noob in Grim Dawn so its really hard for me :frowning:

Hope you can help

I am not sure what is your problem - how to get from zero to the scheme I am showing?

You take devotions that grant affinity first, then take what you need and remove these affinity helpers.

I think I started with owl for mana cost reduction and damage, that also happens to have 5 ascendant affinity needed for chariot. Ascend crossroads -> Owl, remove ascendant crossroads.
Then chaos crossroads -> viper.
Eldritch crossroads -> scholars light, remove green crossroads.
Primordial crossroads -> eel, remove blue crossroads.
Now you can take Behemoth, Solael’s witcblade and Chariot of the dead.
Then take Oklaine’s lantern and remove scholars light.
Phoenix and Scythe need 3 order so put 1 point in order crossroads and take Scythe. Now you can get rid of eel.
Get Phoenix and you can get rid of owl.
From there it is a straight road to U. Torch, grab hawk and there you are at 8 chaos 15 eldritch.

That was exactly my problem thank you very mutch i can do it now i apriciate it

I was PMed about using my build for HC. It’s holding up in Elite at least. Here’s a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qicu4gvz2QI
