I’m really into S&B and warders rn, and rn, i kinda lack the deep knowl;edge to come up with something that could work
The only other possible option for SnB Warder should be build around Scorpius Bludgeon , Kaliska shield and Blade arc / Laceration and be a bleeding tank , you can do some scuffed Blitzer but wouldn’t work very well . Auto attacking with SnB Warder is out of the picture cause WPS that utilize shield are in Oathkeeper arsenal

do you really need WPS for doing some auto attacks? I was looking at shields because they do come with some neat defensive support. tho I guess that does get me yet again into some retal teritory
What about forcewave? 
No WPS no clear and no damage , if you want Sword and board auto attacker just change the class to Warlord or Oppressor , Shieldbreaker is also good option but a bit more exotic and gear dependant. Your main problem is Warder outside of Retal setups has one more potential build with shield involved
As a person that level SnB Forceweave I can assure you is awful experience was the most stubborn and tedious 1-100 in my 7 K hours inside the game

i’m investigating into that one a lot. i know there might be something with crystallum and the conduit of warring wispers’ lightning forceweave option. was maybe also thingking into looking into the pummerler mace paired with the final stop for the powerbash barbarian
Apparently forcewave with a shield isn’t great for leveling ^
For lightning forcewave there’s also this item btw: Mythical Wyrmbone Mask - Items - Grim Dawn Item Database
Though for a warder it’s probably easier as two-hander with the spam forcewave version.
If you want to whack things with final stop, you should probably go with warlord and go for a rata, something like this one with lots of “retaliation damage added to attack” items: Warlord, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator (mine) but there’s lots of variations on that and I’m sure there are better versions around.
the leveling part isn’t a worry for me. I even like when the leveling is not too smooth, I just want to know if there is a build that can clear SR24 somewhere. tho i might be unto something rn, i’m thinking hard
Any build even the meme ones can clear SR 24 with reasonable speed , I mean is a low bar for build performance
i’m talking ultimate sr24. but is the bar really that low for builds to do any content? Has the focus on pushing boundaries with builds of the community gave me the impression that the bar was higher?

SR 24 is exactly before the things get spicy ,like guaranteed double Nemesis spawns in Boss rooms ,much harder encounters during the actual maps I mean any optimised build even if it’s a meme can do it , my point is if that’s your goal you can do it for sure with some theorycraft and few stats milestones covered

I played around with this for awhile. Could stack around 800k bleed on the test dummy and handle SR 30-31 easily but the problem with S&B Warder is that you can just slap on a Guillotine and do more damage with roughly the same tankiness.

For warder utilizing shield, vitality and bleeding blade arc could also work since it got some support in items at least
I guess the conclusion here is that hopefully fangs brings in some extra shield support. with how many shield related items i’m seen in the devlogs so far, i’m hopeful I’ll get to play my full 4th ed dnd warden dream

It would help to know what skills and damage types you were leaning towards. There’s been a couple bleed builds posted but were you thinking straight physical or lightning?
Also is this going to be a twinked character (using a merit and mandates) or you starting from scratch?
was thinking somethong going around regen tanking and some auto attacks (savagery do be fun), but i guess i’ll give that bleed build a try and otherwise jsut tweak my dawnbreaker to my liking and maybe learn to like warlord
but yeah, was looking for some lightning stuff, considering we are talking about a shaman combo, but lighning related stuff that is one handed is like, all for inquisitor/demo, it’s insane
If I was going to do lightning melee for leveling, I’d probably do something like this as a barebones setup:
I’d go with a Stormstrife and have storm totem support while whacking things with savagery. You don’t have great shield options but you did say regen tank so Fleshwarp Bulwarks and Gollus rings are easy to get now. The devo map is from the Ludrigan top 20 build and it’s probably the best all around map for most lightning characters.
As for endgame, I dunno. I’d have to play around in grimtools with that one. Crystallum sword with 4 piece Ultos? Stormrend also exists for 1-hand primal strike. I’ve never used one but there’s probably a build for it kicking around the forum somewhere.
