I find this particular boss such a pain in the ass to kill on my summoner or melee in general.
Im aware that he has a 90% damage absorb shield that last for a while, but at about half hp he releases these incredibly damaging aetherground that rapidly reduces my HP even when i overcap aether resist.
Once me and my pets the whole team got wiped in a second during Crucible because he spawned, i dropped him to low then he seems exploded and me and my pets all died.
Anyone know whats going on here? It seems he has Aether retaliation buffs?
I think the green fire has both an aether component and a -%max life component. At least it feels like it simwtimes. So don’t stand in the fire. For pet builds if you just kite away (in crucible) until you can get him more or less alone your singke-target damage should smoke him before it becomes a problem for your pets.
It the same for world damage Aether fire in places like conflagration or port Valbury. Even with 80% aether resistance it still hurts.
Another thing cronley can do (and i believe it’s chance based when he attacks you in melee) is that he can disrupt your skills for quite a bit of time which can be very annoying.
His melee attacks seem to have a chance to cause skill disruption and it’s very annoying. But honestly, he’s still piss easy to any build and i’d argue he’s the weakest boss in the game.
Yes he is very easy in normal game, but in crucible he can be deadly if he spawned wave 149 with lots of other bosses buffing each other and debuffing you with lots of crucible modifiers.
Yeah that green fire patch is one of the most damaging things in the game outside of straight up crazy stuff like Ravager melee.
I killed him the other night on a character in ultimate with something like 50k per second life steal and I was breaking even at best even with Haunt debuff. That was with 25% abssorb MSoP going to. I didn’t use mirror or MoT at all because I specifically wanted to see how life drain worked out against various bosses.
Yes, he is the only boss who did manage to actually wipe out a lot of my Skeletons…
The trick is to ignore him while he is invulnerable, unless you have Nullification. Use Pet Attack to lead him on a merry chase with your pets and let them kill off his Aetherial crystals and minions. Once he drops the shield concentrate fire on him. I also usually “blow up” my Hellhound and Blight Fiend next to him at this time, and he goes down fast after this.
The problem is when I go to him on a Bounty for Igor (I think), because being chased by Cronley and another Hero at the same time is not fun.
