Anyone using Reign of Ice and Fire rings? 0 CD proc goodness

Seems like a stronger version of the Elemental Balance rings but without a set.
A difference is that these seem to have no cooldown on the proc. Not sure if it’s an oversight, but that seems like it could be crazy powerful if you use 2 of them and use a lot of attacks/auras to proc it.

Anyone using them?

Definitely an internal CD on them. I’ve used 2 at once and don’t see them up too often.

That or the jagged terrain of AoM gobbles them up pretty quickly.

its the shitty terrain

i tested it on a flat terrain and i got almost my screen full with those

Isn’t that the proc that only goes off on flat terrain and dissipates if it just touches slightly inclined terrain? Might explain the no cooldown.

Yup that’s the one. It sucks big time in some situation though since in actual battle i’d prefer Elemental Balance proc over it. Although this does free up ring slot
I don’t want it to be redesigned, since I quite enjoy this unique mechanic of terrain based procs. Quite impressive

Sounds like a big drawback, too bad.
The damage output is possibly still great if you’re using it for single target at point blank range.

Hmm.

Could work in crucible of the dead. Too lazy to try it though

It can be used in Ugdenbog in certain areas and especially in Mourndale with great effectiveness still.

Even single target at point blank is sketchy at times. Terrain/Walls really gobble them up and it feels like any fighting near a wall can result in them getting eaten before they deal damage. Its hard to predict where they spawn in relation to your char at times too making positioning to fix this hard.

The other “problem” not listed above is that this is a stationary proc that spirals out from you. It does not follow you like the elemental balance ring proc or similar effects like say Targo’s hammer.

That said, when you have a decent enough space, what they can do is mildy impressive. My aura based infiltrator loves them.
