Latest version of the game (steam), both AoM and FG installed, but not Crucible.
This is dropping all over the place long before you get the quest for it and only let’s you pick up 1 anyway. Minor annoyance, but could be confusing/annoying for players, especially new ones.
Suggested remedy: Just delay the drop until the actual quest is active or let the player grab and sell dupes.
Seems to be the same for the Leafmane Alpha Horn item, too.

Wouldn’t mind this, same with manticore venom quest as well cause there’s always 100 that drop and we only need one.

Not so, you can grab multiples of both of those from the base game.
by that i mean they drop way before you get the quest, not the stackable mount
and yes you can only pick up 1 manticore gland too
the reason you can grab more slith necklaces is the quest requires more than 1(3)
“the quest mechanical interaction is not new nor different to other quest with drop mats”
edit. that is to mean to say the devs didn’t do this to annoy us/bother us extra for this specific quest, they just used/applied the default quest approach like other quests work(ed)
