I would like to start by saying that my English is not very good and there might be mistakes in the text, but I want to share my idea because I really love runes and this class. This char was leveled up by me, personally, from scratch. Have big AOE and solo dmg with 1-2 millions(sometimes, more) frostburn ticks.

Now, on to the build itself: Apostate, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.8) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
In Game Stats
The idea is simple: AA from Beronath build up charge stacks, then we discharge with a rune, and recharge from blocks.
<---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
And yes, this is worked! The effect is especially noticeable when fighting large packs of enemies. And Dmg bonuses for Rune with +1 charges, ofc.
<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Important items-01
Relic: Beronath onslaugth stacks (4x15% dmg for next skill)
Neckles: Starfury Emerald recharge from Rune, this good work on cite&Frotburn stacking.
<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Important items-02
Because:
Reduces CD, add tdmg&crt for runes, we play on rune.
<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Important items-03
Because:
We need min 20\22, on 20 add max projectiles for Hag.

From Shield, pref
CDR, HP, Dmg
From Shield, suff
This exact suffix is not mandatory. The important thing is having block chance and useful stats (HP, res, dmg).
All ascended bonuses are up to your preference. I just took the ones that are useful and didn’t reroll much, because it’s very expensive. But it’s better to look towards HP, OA/DA, Armor, Phys. res and bonuses to spectral binding aura.
Very nice!
I’m just wondering where the sustain is coming from? Is it passive healing+devotion procs with the 93% increased healing effects? I just can’t see much regen or adcth
Yeah, exactly. Build sustains through defensive devotions, flasks, x2 resonant seals(1k hp\sec), and shield bonuses(4% hp\sec), with a few ascendancy bonuses (spectral binding), all amplified by increased healing effects. And inqisitor seal + DR (aura or omen) too, ofc. He have no Life lich, only regeneration&heal effects)
Where was this build 3 weeks ago when i was reworking my Apostate that went from aether, to cold to acid and a buttload of iron bits and blue/purple potions.
I’m trying something similar but on a runekeeper (berserker x inquisitor) using rune of hagarrad. Here’s where I’m at and taking some inspiration from your build I’m seeking a few pieces of gear still to maximize:
I’m currently using wereraven to unlock Form of the Beast and its TDM but also questioning trying onslaught ranged instead. In either case I have thought to look at additional flat cold damage +elem% through ranged expertise but I’m not currently using a ranged weapon and the two that seem the most viable are runebinder’s spellthrower or maybe icetusk.
Do you really need the Rune of Kalastor?
It would be better to use the gear setup from my build, but adjusted for the Berserker combo. And the amulet slot is definitely locked, because we need more CDR for rune. And, also, need to max out Art Handling.
Short answer, no! Long answer: I had been using it because I was using 4pc nightforged set until I could get my hands on a Mythical Starfury Emerald, and one of the benefits of nightforged is conversion of fire > cold making kalistor a short term damage plug.
However since then I have swapped to a mixed set that includes some similar items as you have including the morg ring and pristmatic plume. Also note I think you’re using your wep to convert necro vit damage but for the runekeeper combo the crescent moon is providing -15% cold RR which is a huge boost. Also the offhand I’m using may be replaced by either the shield if I can roll CDR or a soul of asterkarn for the iquisitor skills (idk… the offhand is really good tho too).
Also I’ve started using horn of gondarr to supplement RoH without the CDR from the amulet and its a pretty nice add actually for survivability given the % enemy damage reduction.
Yeah quite fair on horn - I’ve since traded for a Starfury and that set in motion changes that pulls the gearing pretty close to yours with the exception of a direwolf horn instead of the shield and I’ve yet to unlock nemesis with barrowholm and grab the legs.
In doing so dropped horn - what is good about it though is it has a huge radius and a 100% chance proccing devotion making it a super easy and convenient way to spread RR with elemental storm. Also its DR to enemies is double that of censure at equiv ranks so it adds a very substantial survivability boost imo. I can’t feasibly run it because dropping 4pc runebreaker made it far too heavy of a point invest to get to those levels vs 2 pts in seal to run that easily. Still may think about returning to it vs seal for the above reasons if I can complete a few double rare MIs and get the ascended rolls required to swap points around.
On that note shit gets pricey to min max ascended double rares…
Also wondering if this helm is worth a closer look. All skill for you, inquisitor for me and an an RR on attack….
