Are Blueprints unlocked account wide?

Just curious whether blueprints are account wide or character wide.

Short answer: account wide

Blueprints are all saved to a single file as they are learned, which is shared by all characters on that computer. I think Hardcore has a seperate file for hardcore characters.

Correct. More specifically, they are saved to the formulas.gst and formulas.gsh files for softcore and hardcore, respectively.

TL;DR it’s account-wide, but softcore and hardcore are separate “accounts” in this sense.

Thanks for the answers guys. Since I won’t be playing hardcore, I guess its pretty much true account-wide for me.
