I like loot and hoarding loot… In another life, I might have been a viking for all I know.
Sacred 2 is definitely my favorite ARPG thanks to how big the world is, and how customizable your character can be in terms of equipment. The choice of weapons in that game were huge. Borderlands is my second favorite and of course, Titan Quest has a special place in my heart, although I discovered that one rather late. Back in the days, Greek mythology wasn’t all that interesting to me as much as science fiction was.
Can’t wait to try out Grim Dawn although I must admit I have so many games on my shelf that I recently bought, Dark Souls, Mass Effect 3, Kingdom of Amalur, even fracking Skyrim, that I have yet to finish. Soon I will be getting a PSP: Vita and picking up the new Gundam game the Japanese are releasing. So yeah, lots of games, an awesome job and barely anytime to play any of them.
Anyhoo, best of luck to the Grim Dawn developers for completing the game and … cheers!
Have you also tried the Dawn of War 2 series? There’s a bunch to loot to be had there. Or Dungeon Defenders? That’s also crawling with loot, albeit rather basic loot.
And did I play DoW 2? Oh that I have I enjoyed Dawn of War 2 and its expansions a lot, although GFWL did ruin the experience for me back when the game was released as I had quite a lot of problem playing the multiplayer portion of the game. Glad Retribution did away with GFWL in favor of steamworks, though I am a bit disappointed their DLCs were very much focused on last stand and not on the core game. I would love to play as the TAU faction but not in last stand.
And Dungeon Defenders, I loved that game as well. Still waiting for my brother, who is my favorite co-op partner, to get the campaign dlc and the new character dlcs as well.
heh, that’s the way I roll as well. And watching let’s play videos of the games.
