As a LONG time player, thank you Crate

I am posting for no other reason than to express my immense gratitude to Crate for not only making Grim Dawn, but also for continuing to develop and support it all these years later. I first got into Grim Dawn when it was in early access back around 2014 – I believe at that point the game ended with the defeat of Karroz in Darkvale. Since my initial purchase I have logged over 3,965 hours in Grim. It has seen me through my deepest bouts of depression, it has distracted me from my chronic anxieties, and it has challenged me in ways no other games have. Most of all, it has been a terrific experience through which my wife and I have bonded over the course of our relationship – and yes, of the two of us, she still holds the record for highest damage dealt (for now).

It is hard to put into words the many great qualities of this game, or rather hard to make it concise. That it is not to say it does not have its faults, however minor in my eyes they might be. I know there is no game that truly is for everyone, and Grim is no exception. But, from my view, Grim is without a doubt the most satisfying, engaging, and replayable game I have ever encountered, and for that I want to express my deep gratitude to those who have put countless hours into making the game what it is today.

I have just finished leveling my 24th original character to 100, and I expect many more to come, especially with the upcoming expansion. So thank you, Crate, for putting such heart and skill into Grim Dawn – you have at least brought me and my wife thousands of hours of fun and joy!

Glad to hear it. It’s always reassuring to hear that our work has helped someone through tough times (and the good!).
