This has probably been answered before, but I can’t seem to find any info on it. I have a high level Soldier and was curious about what to bind Assassin’s Mark to. Can it be applied to multiple targets? In all my experience with it (bound to Cadence so far), I have never seen it active on more than one target, even when switching targets with LMB.
I finally got Blind Fury (Oleron constellation) and not sure what to bind it to. Both it and Assassin’s Mark proc of crit and right now my % isn’t that high. Would AM be best on Blitz (for the AoE) and Blind Fury on Cadence, or vice versa?
Right now my build is Cadence + Blitz max, the rest is basically support skills. I’m wondering if I should get Zolhan’s or Markovian’s advantage for more skills to proc constellations.
Don’t do weapon pool skills for skill procs. The percentage is garbage; it’ll go off 15% of the time MA goes off, so 15% of 20% is 3% of attacks, and Cadence overwrites WPS so it would be 2%…just don’t.
You’re right in that you want an AoE skill to give most chances to proc. Get a point in Blindside if you don’t already because the extra DoT gives an extra chance for a crit. Blind Fury on Cadence is acceptable. What’s your second class?
IF you want to test it out and see what it hits, put a point in blade arc and laceration. Go whack a few mobs, the more mobs you hit the greater your chance of critting are.
I’ve been thinking about using it on Amarasta’s Quick Burst since that seems to proc a lot and it counts as 3 weapon hits I believe which give it 3 chances to crit and apply the debuff with every proc. Is that a bad idea?
It won’t apply on multiple targets, but it will give you more chances to proc. So it’s technically correct. It’s not advisable, because of the random proccing, BUT, he wasn’t wrong. Full clarity, is all.
Yes and there was lots of clarity in my post. I never said it’s wrong as it won’t proc, i was referring to the overall statement that applying it to AOE is the best way when it in fact is the worst ideea…
If you want to get into semantics you can contradict most of the posts on forum. The OP got the idea and so did you;)
@Maratastik. I tried many times with AQC. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes, it just won’t proc when you need it. You can switch up bindings for the sake of diversity but there will allways be a trade-off
Keeping AM on Cadence just seems like a waste. Sure, it will proc on a boss quickly, but it has a huge 15s duration so the rest of the time I’m whacking away with Cadence nothing else is proccing. Blind Fury has a 5s duration, so I feel like it might be more useful on Cadence.
I don’t really know how much extra damage I’ll do when BF procs, reducing target’s defensive ability, vs AM’s % damage increase. With my low crit chance, I haven’t been impressed with using Blitz to proc BF (and yes, I do have 1 point in Blindside).
2nd class is Demolitionist. He’s currently just taken as a Vindictive Flame + Temper bot.
If you don’t put it on cadence you will rarely see AM. Don’t underestimate 28rr.
Blind fury in blitz is amazing. Blitz hits 2x so it’s 2x chance to crit against sinle target and proc it. Againt mobs it’s guaranteed proc and obliteration:)
That is why AM is better on Cadence. No waste.
At best you can try AM on BWC with transmuter but you won’t have the OA to pull it off and it’s just annoying. I tried.
Blitz with blind fury is boss:p - just get at least 2400 OA. And also Warborn has enough + skills to pump more into blindside
I have a gun cadence commando and it seems assassin’s mark is hitting multiple targets on cadence. Sometimes hits them off the screen. Test it with a gun. I think the ‘Fighting Form’ in the cadence tree makes guns hit multiple targets.
edit: i can’t confirm it hits two targets on one shot. I would have to watch video in slow motion. but I can confirm it procs all the time. I see enemies debuffed in every mob.
Hmm, yeah, I have seen AM proc on different enemies. Sometimes the icon is hard to see.
I’m lvl 82 now and 50 devotions. I’ve gone for Dryad, Chariot, enough points in Ulcama for Tip the Scales, and I had just enough left over to get Oleron to BF (but I’m missing the juicy +100% phys on the right hand star). I have the blueprints for Warborn helm but that’s it (and it would consume my only Haunted Steel).
I’m trying to decide going more offensive in my devotions, but I already die pretty quick with all the devotion healing I have set. Weapon is an Agony mace with a Hollowed Claw (for the life steal – not as good as Haunted Steel but a hell of a lot cheaper to craft).
Anyway, this belongs in a different thread. Thanks for the explanations on AM!
This happens because the bullet going through targets has a travel speed, it’s not instant. Same for siegebreaker ability, slower travel speed but same principle as fighting form or cannister bomb which has clusters that explode in a sequence.
