Attak Seru vs SotH

Is it possible to have both?

Yes but I’d say with high confidence that there’s no build for which it would be optimal.
For example you cannot even afford RR devotions if going for such a combo.

I requires 57 points just to unlock them both lol. Should be a very tight fit to get them both.

Are there any known builds that include both? What’s RR? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m currently playing spellbinder using aether ray mostly, recommended build includes necro and hourglass, but would like to see instead what it looks like if I could fit attak in there with heavenly spear.

Not that many because there are 55 points in total so you wouldn’t be able to get both of them at the same time and I’ve checked that you can. That’s probably a typo because you’re asking for builds in next sentence.

There are no such builds because as I said you cannot fit RR devos and these are devotions with procs that Reduce Enemies resistances such as Rhowan’s Crown with Elemental Storm proc, Revenant with Skeletons proc, WIdow with Arcane Bomb proc etc.

You can change your devos for sure to include for offensive procs but going for these two at the same time would gimp your build for sure for the reason I mentioned

@tqFan you probably forgot to answer this

Just answered what RR devos are

I meant 57 points like in the color points.

So SofH with Attak cannot fit the widow? Kinda strange you can’t put most aether damage constellations together then.

Is there any way to change the fire damage from aether ray into aether or lightning damage?

Sure. You can either use global conversions, i.e.

or items with skill modifiers to AAR:
Item skill modifiers: Albrecht’s Aether Ray

Here’s some mechanics info: https://www.grimdawn.com/guide/gameplay/combat/#q21

Conversions is one of the most if not the most fun part of the game as it enables hundreds of new builds,
for example Physical Aether Ray

But Spear can also be mixed with Rattosh, but that for build that’s able to convert most vitality damage to aether. Eldritch sun can also be fitted with spear as it requirements are similar and it buff all damage. Both combination can fit widow in it’s path.

Yeah, and depending on global conversions you have you can fit some weird devos in your Aether build.
I for example often use Wendigo with Vitality damage. Used Tsunami with Cold / Lightning damage.
More standard Aetherfire from imp, especially when you convert Fire. Phoenix.

Thanks for the links, I should try getting a clairvoyant wand and check dps difference, although I’m using death omen at the moment and it’s a great defensive weapon only a major dps difference would justify changing it.

Do you have a link that shows HSpear and Atak seru in the same tree? I’m playing around with the calculator but can even fit them both.

Damn I’d so much like to make a simple program solving this puzzle because it’s the n-th time someone asks for something like this. It would be short but PITA to write still due to all the IFs  Anyway, here’s some random setup:

(I even got you free node of Seru but it’s not necessary for the proc obviously)

Do you have any link for that one? I’d like to see what you/they used to put spear and rattosh together.

Haha nice, I will test it out when I get 55 dev points on this char. Maybe I can find other sources of RR to compensate for widow.

no flat RR from devos though,

Wasn’t it possible in the past to put devotion skills that proc on attack on Iskandra’s elemental exchange? I remember doing it with the demolitionists equivalent skill.

That looks really nice and the 2 extra points can easily go into the jackal for 6% total speed.

I’m just not sure where to put the proc since I only spam aether ray. Are there any passives from items that can take in attack procs?

Aether corruption compnent skill is dope.
