I’ll tell you what I did, I was afraid to update the game for fear of losing my mods, I separated the mods into a folder, uninstalled the old version of the game, installed the new version and replaced all the mods, this here worked perfectly fine.
I don’t know if it will work the same way for you, but it’s an option.
For most old mods the option is to disable the highlight option for new items, and everything will work perfectly fine.
