Just to be clear what i’m describing, it’s akin to hovering the mouse over an NPC vendor, where their model will be outlined in green. However, the difference in regard to other players is that when your mouse happens to pass over a friendly, it seems to take absolute priority over anything and everything that you can do, and this results in being unable to cast any combat skills whatsoever, which has bothered me more and more as i level new characters in multiplayer. Attempting to cast a left click skill has me walking over to their location instead of using the ability on LMB. Does this mechanic have a purpose? Perhaps it was a holdover from a planned party-based “healer” class, or something like that?
My suggestion is that the mouse hovering over a friendly player should have no effect at all unless i hold ctrl, just like it works for pets. Thanks for any info / consideration / etc ~
