I stopped playing GD a few months ago (around the time the Deathmarked set got nerfed) because it simply wasn’t compatible with the huge amount of work I had (XCOM2 coming out didn’t help either).
Looking to get back into the game this week, so I’d like to know what the best/fastest builds are right now. Thanks.
Witchblade is pretty hot atm from what i’ve heard, but i guess there are other builds people are not willing to share…who knows.
Honestly not much has changed. The only new addition to awesome builds is the more lightning based pet warlock/conjurers posted by Avatar of Dreeg and ACB. Witchblade is very hot atm, because cadence got a big buff the patch after the DM weapon nerf. If you left after the weapon nerf then I believe you missed another nerf to Beronath’s fury too 
Fire strike got a pretty huge nerf, but Sabo is still strong. Maybe I’m forgetting something, but it’s mostly just been small tweaks. A lot of health/resists added to items esp legendary rings, epics aren’t entirely useless now (most got reworked), nerfs to various % WD skills/devotions (savagery got taken down a notch too actually), small buffs to caster stuff
Not much has been posted with the new item sets from the recent patch, but as a BM lover you’d probably enjoy a witchhunter with venomblade set if you can get it
Tried out how my old chars work. The Aether-based casters (Clairvoyant/Agrivix versions) seem to be a lot more tanky. Is the regeneration setup (Tree of life etc.) still optimal for aether casters? I found a part of a set that seems to be suited for CT/PRM casters, is it better than the old setup (Anesteria helm, Clairvoyant armor and shoulders…)?
Also, enemies seem tanker in general, is this the result of patches or are my characters simply not optimised?
Finally, what’s a good Cadence build now?

Thread is huge with a lot of contributinos from other good players. Variations to the main build start at page 36 and finally towards the end of the thread posts with the new Warborn set anihilating crucible. It’s posted by Drizzto (bottom post) and shows both Warborn and Markovian performance.
Edit: I see you are also into mages. Here is a CT Clayrvoyant build by Zars soloing Gladiator Crucible in HC which is quite insane.
Also a Calirvoyant build but a nuking version with Devastation and doom bolt, made by a member of the Chineese community. This build has full spirit investment! which is also insane and can solo Crucible Gladiator. Video on page 2
Build with the new argivix set has yet to be posted. But the nwe AAR set Black Flame covenant has a build ade by Avatar of Dreeg here

Yeah regen setup still optimal. I think you are imagining yourself and enemies being tankier 
I’ve yet to get more than 1 piece of the new Agrivix set, but I’ve seen it played and it certainly looks strong

Thanks for this, I never would have found those posts on my own in the 80 page thread. WB seems quite strong, though I still can’t fix the OA problems on mine. Still, the damage is quite insane and he can’t die. Ever. I never bothered spamming the shop for a Bonescythe, I guess I should because the crafted hammer I have (Tyrant’s of the Rifthound) is just too slow.

Tbh, these builds just look like they are too much work. I’m not convinced they are much faster than the old school Iskandra CT Sorc and Clairvoyant PRM BM builds, and they are much squishier and require too many buttons. Why isn’t anyone using the Anesteria hat, has it been nerfed into the ground?
Charriot and Hawk fixed it for me sort of. It’s at ~ 2500 without vanguard or other procs. After trying countless combinations I am very pleased with this setup.
Back after 4 month with no computer, after a total wreck of old one.
Lost every thing including all my old builds. New faster computer. Bought most of the parts from Newegg. then have a friend put together for me. I’m practically a noobie.
Will start with a retaliate Warder until I build up some equipment.
I’ll probably be 90 before I get to the Crucible.

I haven’t played since the crucible patch, did few runs of crucible to 150 then stopped playing after that. I think people now time crucible 130 to 150 to compare builds, so can probably tell if the build is efficient or not if they have vids and you can see how long they take to complete 130 to 150.
Have you done crucible? I couldn’t do it comfortably with my previous setup, I had to change gear to more tanky as I got higher, and at last few levels I had to run around a bit. Not sure if they adjusted crucible since the original crucible launch. I think my highest score is something like 13.5 mil, not sure if that’s good or not.
