As I have put earlier there we’re legitimate concerns and so the way that things we’re being done changed to suit the needs of the community.
By saying that people are just being whiners and referencing the first page summary by mediera you are only proving your own ignorance to the issues of this forum & in addition to this an inability to grasp that after 50 pages all the ‘real’ issues have been resolved.
Now we simply have to wait or of course you can get your refund if you don’t trust that it is coming.
well the whining wasnt related to the distribution channel but rather the delay… medierra just decided that since some where asking to rather get a gog key rather than the humble download he would just drop the whole humble thing and go with gog only… which in turn again meant more delays for the people who didnt ask for that. so no… we didn’t whine until medierra caved… he just decided it was easier to go gog only to not having to maintain 3 different branches of the game DESPITE what everyone wanted… that is the drm free version asap.
Plus, on top of comments he got about GoG instead of humble, it was in the terms of GoG to be exclusive in being the only ones to have a drm free. He explained that in one of his posts in the thread.

I am a Kickstarter person that the Pledge I have done is the 85$ level.
I buy it a long time before to support game making but because of digital download DRM free. Year before Steam compagnie close my account illegal because they take all the games I have they take I only play 1-player games that I play, I can't do anythings, no one want to help me the persons in Steam say to me like if I am a bandit but it is they steal from me my games and my money.
I did reading this forum from page 01 to the last page and it is not good for me. I thank you the people that message to explain and to help other people like my situation that we don't have the game we pay until more later. I thank developer boss that Kickstarter buyer can now get the money back because of how you do this business in paypal. But I have to wait because of the time this pass from long time. It is not important or bad if some people are rich, for today for me 85$ is much but even more for 2012 it was many more for me. But I trust I want to do the best I can do for this game like the other people in Kickstarter. I am very disapointed in your compagnie. Boss, you say in 2012 when I buy you do not know what I want to buy the digital download DRM free but you sell this in the Kickstarter. In the begin of this forum you say it is 2016 and you don't know sure now even after. How can you do this to your fans? A person sayd in the forum a grave message for the compagnie. But when he finisht sayd this positive Reconsider this for the future! After this another person sayd in the quote of the message.
This has make me hurt in my heart, making me sad. I read this message and other, this person is a wise man. I hope one day I maybe wise like him. To explain meaning that even in the future compagnie do the same as is the future is compare to now he sayd in 2013 a very good and a friend message to the compagnie.
I don't have anger I have only disapoint and let down same like Steam when they cancel all my games they don't care about me but I care about them before and look resulting now. I sorry boss but I have to tell my friend never to trust your compagnie. I hopingly my small 85$ in 2012 year help you. I also then will have the Grim Dawn Expansion because included at Pledge. But you not a serious person you are no a professional and why the other people in the compagnie why they don't say to you this wrong? I cannot ever buy again from your compagnie or is like I do not have the any respect for myself how taken care of by Crate is: you laugh in face before me me and the Kickstarter for DRM free we are a fool people. Many person insult me here but it pay 24$ me I pay 85$ 2012 I ask of them: who are you here what is your business? If you pay 24$ it mean you have Steam and you play game? I like this compagnie and boss many more over you in 2012? Why have webmaster team let this people insult the Kickstarter support fans?

Actually that’s not totally correct; GoG didn’t say that they wanted to have the exclusivity for the DVD-free version and that Grate weren’t allowed to sell a DRM-free version anywhere else.
They said to Grate that backers would be able to redeem a Gog key for Grim Dawn, something that wasn’t planned originally, only if there was no other redeemable DRM-free key available because they were afraid of peoples reselling their extra key.
If Grate wanted they could have released a DRM-free version on Humble for backers to redeem and then, later, sell the game on Gog. (of course without having an option for the backers to redeem the game there)
Personally I prefer the Gog solution even if it means waiting a little longer.
Really hoping for a release annoucement, or at least an ETA since it came out of steam Feb 25th and we’re still not given a real timetable beyond soon™.
We expect the GoG release to be available as soon as possible, they are currently “reviewing” the build. We aren’t going to be able to be more specific than that.
Backer rewards are all in the next patch, and we’re just finalizing the key distribution for them.
DRM free version will be delivered as promised, it just takes a little more work to set up, hence the delay.
