So it feels weird to me that Beast Faction nemesis is a Leafmane Monster rather than a Groble Tyrant or Draghoul
Why do I say this? Well think about, grobles are relatively more organized than any other Beasts and have the closest thing to what can be termed as a culture
Even the Warrants are apparently made by Grobles. It makes more sense that the nemesis of the faction is one of them and not some random Ugdenbog Yeti
The only other competitor for this would be the Slith who also seem to possess some sort of intelligence considering they can make use of magic. Although i’d say they’re still inferior to Grobles
I guess beast nemesis was meant to represent the wild and untamed force of nature, not intelligence or evolution. So Yeti fits nice to me.
This.
When the word “beast” come in mind, all i can imagine is an big animal, strong and tasty for blood and death.
I guess Kubacabra is ok.
Already asked this on the testforums during testing, the place holder before kubra was even more idiotic
I suggested a big manticore / Basilisk as the beast nemesis, kubra is just meh imo
Okay let’s just agree that Slith and Grobles are more of beatkin and less of “beats”
So what about using a descendant of Beronath? The most powerful beast known to us, it makes sense to fight something like that
As Dikkie said that yeti is just underwhelming.
I also wanted a nemesis that deals poison damage, so far there is none that deals that (explicitly or atleast a good amount) because so far we have a few that deal: chaos, aether, bleed, vitality, cold, physical, lightning and pierce.
but none that deal poison
which I thought the beast nemesis would do, with some vitality and physical hits
"So what about using a descendant of Beronath? "
I don’t think that qualifies as a beast. Call it magical entity or w/e but not beast.
The way kupa’s auto attack works is pretty fitting for a beast. The way he looks is subject to personal taste ofc
At least, Kupa is … a beast.
Slithes are man-made, riftspawns are not endemic and insectoïds don’t even deserve a nemesis in their image.
manticores, basiliks, crabs, briarthorns, spiders (kinda)
Em, when people asked for beast nemesis they were joking, right? I also thought necromancer class was a joke. Until it was announced.
The idea of Beasts as a faction doesn’t sit well with me. Beastkin as a faction made more sense imo
Lol
I laughed way too hard this
i agree. and then a Tyrant Nemesis would fit (although there’s already 2 Tyrant bosses).
i was never a big fan of Beast faction and when i see how it turned out i wish Crate didn’t listen to the players on that one.
Dikkie’s suggestion about a Manticore-based monster seems more promising imo (ofc it’s too late anyway)
to be fair I suggested a beast faction a long time ago, and during that I even asked for a kind of manticore / basilisk.
and during testing of the expansion (when we encountered the place holder) I really hoped it was a bigger manticore hybrid with basilisk (poison) beast, even suggested it there again
giant purple bee pls
Agreed, though the amount of players at the time non-stop requesting these was ridiculous.
Crate just couldn’t ignore them. Overall I’m satisfied with how Necro turned out however
Manticore = Yes.
Or, to be truly unique, a King Groble riding an armored Manticore.
(A bony armor, with feathers and stuff. True Groble fashion).
This guy knows his shit
Beast Superboss confirmed
I’m guessing this happened before 2016?
And a helmet, I’m thinking, when you ride a manticore, because otherwise those hard stops are a killer.
(Grobles don’t do helmet laws I know…)
Beast faction really doesn’t make sense, does it…?
