I’m currently running one of Maya’s pet builds. Are they other equally/more effective farming builds for a new toon going off self-found items? A build guide would be nice, or direction(s) to where the leveling guides are on the site. I can’t seem to find Nery’s or anyone’s for that matter.

All or at least most of the builds are meant for self found play. You can try for example my Conjurer.
I returned to this game after 2 years (i have a 77lvl Witchblade from back then), I bought the expansions and I am now following your beginner Vitality Conjurer guide… OMG its a piece of cake, compared to what I was used to! Also play self-found, 83lvl at the moment.
If all the other beginner builds are like yours @Nery and @Maya pet builds (I also made a Conjurer - pet build from Maya), it definitely worth to follow your guides…
