Best DPS Mage Tank Build

Hi All,

I’m brand new to playing and most of the advice is to play a build you would have fun with. I really want to play a Mage Tank build that can pretty much face tank mobs and still cast spells to do nice aoe and damage.

Are there any great builds that can do this and are still topping dps in the latest patch? The closest I’ve seen so far is JoV’s BWC Sorcerer and it looks pretty cool.

Any other builds I should look into?

BWC is your best bet, maybe give it your own spin by doing a Pyromancer, but I had a lot of fun with sorcs.

Thanks! That sounds good to me. It looked like a lot of fun to play and really caught my eye. Do you recommend starting with the Demo or Arcanist class for leveling?

I would recommend BWC Commando for a “tank” mage, (depend how much you care about the tanking aspect tho)

BWC commando is pretty much the mage tank build. Check the build in my sig

If you get bored with the BWC Commando, try a Calidor’s Tempest Sorc.

Their resilience is phenomenal for a non-shield class.
