Best main campaign area for farming iron bits?

Fort Ikon Armory comes to mind, it’s easy to reach, small, full of chests, has a couple of heroes and a boss.
I just ran it a few times, a complete clear (including the way from the riftgate to the Armory and back to the trader) takes less than 5 minutes with GrimInternals (will be more if you pickup rares manually) and yields about 15-25k from chests etc. and another 70-90k from item sales.

I also tried Fort Haron but it’s not as good. Takes maybe a minute less than the Armory but yields only half the iron.

Can anyone recommend other places with lots of chests and preferably lots of heroes and a boss at the end? I wanna set up a good iron farming route.

  • Tomb of Eldritch Sun

If you have the Forgotten Gods DLC, I suggest you Tomb of the Eldritch Sun. Korvaak’s Chosen can wear up to three MIs (head, shoulder and armor) and they love to drop them.

Good idea, thanks! Just tested it, full clear including secrets took me ~10 minutes from the riftgate to Father Kymon, yield was 45k from chests etc. and another 125k from item sales. Not as good as Fort Ikon Armory but may have been bad luck and running the Tomb has other benefits so I’ll include it in my route.

edit: I just tried Darkvale Gate, it’s not really worth it. Similar yield to Amory but takes twice the time.
