Bezerker...not a good class and not fun

and mines can have -x% RR :fire:

Again, “at once” part doesn’t matter. It’s about access, not about how it’s spread. Nobody cares who’s a master of curses - it’s about which skills are available. Zerker just happens to have a single one. Let’s see which class can shred what.

Soldier - can actually shred everything! On a single skill, a warcry no less! Truly op, nerf pls.

Ok, seriously now.

Demo - can shred 5 resists AT THE SAME TIME on a single skill. Teh horror.
Occultist - can shred 8 resists on a single skills. One of them actually got added there recently, so “how many” question is entirely pointless.
Nightblade - can shred 4 resists on a passive aura.
Shaman - can shred 5 AT THE SAME TIME OMG
Inquisitor - can shred 6 AT THE SAME TIME LITERALLY OVERPOWERED
Necro - can shred 5 AT THE SAME TIME.
Oathkeeper - can shred 5 AT THE SAME TIME and 7 total. One of its best aspects was how easily oathkeepers slotted with pretty much any other class in the game. Without “incidents” like Defiler or Apostate.

Zerker can shred… drumrolls please… red carpet rolling…
4 resists. That’s it. Not a passive aura either.

And yes, before you ask - I consider Nightblade to be an overly limited mastery too. I also must be tripping, because I swear either chaos or bleed RR used to be somewhere on it.

Did I make my point?

Actually less is better. Less code less (potential for) bugs

I get what you’re saying.
Besides Occultist, they can all shred 4 to 6 damage types… and everyone of those that have 6 include “elemental” … all of those that have only 4 can shred cold only…
So including all elemental damage for those 2 would level the playing field and make every mastery (except soldier and arcanist) able to shred at least 5 or 6.

I don’t disagree with you. I’m not sure those 2 need it…, and nightblade would be better off with bleed RR than elemental IMO, but you are making sense. I’m not sure I can interpret your tone, given that written communication is imperfect, so I will assume you meant well despite all the passive-agressive/sarcastic lines above.

However I think how many damage types each mastery can shred is overall less important than how many masteries are able to shred each damage type… That is a more important metric as it narrows down potential builds way more than the opposite.

There are :
5 masteries that can shred fire
5 that can shred lightning
7 that can do cold
5 that can do vitality
4 that can do acid
3 that can do physical
3 that can do bleeding
3 that can do aether
4 that can do chaos
3 that can do pierce

(And think that before Berserker, pierce and bleed only had 2 sources, so Boneshilling cry, even though limited, is a real fix to build diversity already…)

So while I think your suggestion makes sense, I think adding more masteries that can shred the second-most common damage type adds less to the game than picking something else more carefully.

If you want to make Berserker and Nightblade a bit more versatile, they should instead add RR to damage types that are less available in the game overall.

Namely, I think Nightblade should have access to bleed RR, Demo should have pierce RR and Shaman should have Physical or Aether RR … (There are a surprisingly high number of aether-focused gear meant for the shaman for some reason)
As for Berserker, No idea which would be the most on-theme, but physical seem like a better choice than elemental. Neither are on-theme really, but we don’t really need a 6th mastery that can shred fire or lightning…

I have no recollection of that, personally.

Yes, absolutely. Again, my reply was mostly because you seemed to have misinterpreted mine… not because I didn’t get yours.
