Blade Arc animation needs some love

Could the Blade Arc animation be made to be… well, more “bladey”? Something more like the animation for Ring of Steel would be great!

Can’t say I really pay that much attention to my blade arc since I am looking all over the field for what I am doing next

That wouldn’t make sense, Ring of Steel has the animation it has since Nightblades utilise blade magic, hence the phantom blades around them. Soldiers just actually swing their weapon. The one thing that I think could be improved on Blade Arc is that the character should swing the weapon both ways. Currently the character is just constantly doing a backhand swing, where proper fighting technique would involve swinging both outward and inward to not waste motion. It looks kinda silly the way it is now, especially at high attack speeds. Backhand, pull back, backhand, pull back, backhand, pull back, on and on and on.

Given that we’re (probably) getting a brand new evade animation and a good bunch of animations in the upcoming expansion for the shapeshifting, I’m hoping we can get some neat additions to existing animations along the way. Like proper holding animation for 2h mace/axe weapons would be damn lovely.

Wonder if they could adapt the Eye of Reckoning 360 degree animation to a 180 degree right to left, left to right?

I’ve been hoping for that since forever, but i won’t be holding my breath. But i literally dreamed of having an Evade which seemed impossible at this point of development, but it’s happening so who knows…
