Are blade spirits good for spreading Rumor? I can’t hardly sense the effect so I can’t tell the efficiency.
Really don’t want another casting skill just for the sake of Rumor…
Rumor graphics is blue-ish bubbles over the head of the monster. Rumor spreads pretty good by itself. But yeah, Blade spirits are a nice way of proccing stuff I think
IMO, no. Blade Spirits are still slow to converge on the enemy and they don’t do many hits per second. The key to clear speed is to have rr activate as soon as you move in.
So, I like to bind Rumor to SS (with Nightfall ofc) and Elemental Storm to RoS so that I got both on as soon as I move in even though they might not proc as often as they would on Blade Spirit and sometimes not at all. I usually bind BS to Blizzard.
I never regretted binding anything that has no WD to Blade Spirit. They’re slow, yeah, but fighting bosses is where you need your procs or high waves of enemies, which always is useful. You’re facing a boss, BS will be always sitting on that boss, you’re fighting a huge wave of enemies, be it Ancient Grove or Crucible, you bind something AoE to it and one enemy gets damaged, a whole wave gets hit.
I actually rather pick BS for proccing stuff rather than add another skill I’d only waste time to cast. Even a small casting animation makes huge difference in clear time, doesn’t matter if it’s Crucible, Lokarr or anything - casting WoP takes 0.2 sec to cast? okay, that might be even 10% DPS loss sometimes. Moreover, even if BS hits for 400 damage, or even 1k, it’s still a DPS increase and you don’t even have to cast it.
I have a chaos build that loses about 30% DPS upon casting three skills, and I have 5 skills I have to cast to maximize my damage, so that’s around 70% DPS loss. I’d rather have 5 useless pets that only proc stuff rather than cast skills. And as for Crucible, which is somehow considered the main game by 80% of players, every percent of lost DPS counts - it may even kill you if you lose 1% DPS by casting a skill.
Player scaling pets carry player’s wd when bound to devotions. They work for adcth, too.
Yes, me too. Unless it’s the inquisitor box.
BS are ok, plus they’re permanent so there’s that. But they’re just not as good for proccing as Wind Devils for example. You can easily check that by binding sth like Bat to them, pet-attacking a dummy and seeing how often it procs. They’re ok for proccing 100% on crit devotions when your autoattack/spam is taken.
What I mean is that at endgame when you kill everything in 2 seconds and your goal is to kill it in 1.8 seconds, Rumor serves best when it’s procced AS SOON as possible, not AS OFTEN as possible. I don’t know if it makes sense to anyone…
I use sometimes pseudo pets for devo procing, but wind devils are way better cause their speed. On my Infiltrator I use SS for Rumor and the chance is 51% so it depends the player’s preference.
I heard multiple times player pets don’t affect the player if it comes to WD. If they carried player’s WD, some of my builds would not hit for 20k, but 50k.
I might be just wrongly informed, not sure.
Correct, but for Rumor which is just a one-time debuff, the usefulness of BS as proccing machine is wasted cause rumor doesn’t stack by itself. I’d bind things like Flame Torrent, Blizz, Tsunami to it tho.
Player pets don’t carry player’s WD on their normal attacks, but if you assign devo procs with WD to it then the proc will still carru your WD even if the pet procced it.
Oh, so this is how it works. Good to know. Thanks.
