Could any other legendary armours work for a blademaster? I have had no luck with Deathmark drops and do have 17 attribute points to spare. Would any of the soldier sets be viable? I wonder if skill boost to soldier via items would balance out the plus 5 a deathmark build can give you to Nightblade skills??

Amulet, relic and belt will already give you +3, which is enough to get all of your DW skills to 18% activation. You will often get additional bonuses to these skills from other items (windshears for example).
By far my favorite armor for a piercing blademaster is the Korvoran’s Chestguard.
