Blessed Whetstone - where can I farm it?

I am a relative noob to grim dawn - played a fair bit of Dail but never really to any long term goal.

I’ve started playing with the new expansion. I want to make a guile for my character, but I’m yet to find a single blessed whetstone component. According to the component list I found as an excel sheet, it is ilvl 25 or higher but can drop almost anywhere. I’m 41 and have completed up to and including fort ikon, but so far, nada.

A few areas I’ve seen listed as good places to get them are hallowed hill, spiked cave, steps of torment, arkovian foothills. I’ve tried spending some time in each of them repeating the areas but I’m still yet to find anything, and a couple of them seem to have monster limits lower than 25 anyway…

Should I just give up on it till later? Is there a better area or has something changed since this information?

That component can be crafted, Death’s Vigil and Kymon’s sell the blueprint for it.
As a drop it’s extremely rare so no surprise you can’t find them.

You can craft it at the black Smith, although it does drop from several it is a rare drop

It’s very easy to craft though

Thanks guys… I went to check the vendor and it seems I’m very close to the required rep, so it shouldn’t take long to get it.

It’s very hard to farm it drom drops.
Your bet bet is to farm Serrated Spike. It drops very often from insectoids, can be farmed with “Twin Falls” wasp farm (also the easiest way to grind legendaries in the game) or Dermapteran cave farm near Homestead. You can craft Blessed Whetstone using Serrated Spike, then.

Better if you do Bounties, it can drop from there. But easier to craft it.
