So in the recent Patch the elemental seeker proc from the Blind Sage Devotion
got a Change, and Im running a PRM Spellbraker right now. Now my question is
is it still as Bad and not worth taking as people say? I have elemental Storm on PRM and want to bind elemental seekers to PRM as I unlock it, and switching elemental Storm to Devastation. Instead I also consider going elemental storm on PRM and binding arcane bomb from the widsow constellation, to Devastation and using the other devotion for defensive bonuses since Blind sage has a high
affinity requirement.Well my question is wich one you consider the most viable option for a elemental PRM Spellbreaker?
AFAIK the general consensus is that PRM should go for aether damage, not elemental. :undecided:
I haven’t tried the new Blind Sage but it still looks very unappealing and weak.
And yes, Widow would be much better, that way you lower Aether and Lightning res and going blue means you can get the juicy nodes from Spear (even if you don’t take the skill, another dead-end trap) and the first node of Hourglass, which gives a great combined 90 stats.
Blind Sage just has so many problems: the combination of the highest requirements of all despite being one of the weakest clusters (bad? skill, no good OA, no defenses,) and the inherent weaknesses of Elemental damage means it’s just not worth taking.
I’ve tried it several times in the past and I always felt that going either Torch or Spear or even Tree are all much better options.
I’ve used the seekers in a few builds…If you are heavily DOT focused, then Sage is great for stats, and Seekers are kind of just added on. If you aren’t focusing DOTs, the Seekers do more damage, but not enough to be worth iit alone. If you really want other things in those affinities, go for it…Otherwise, focus down the damage types on your PRM and go elsewhere
From personal testing, Elemental Seekers are just as disappointing as they’re made out to be here. Only thing they have going for them is the chain AoE cc, and at least their energy burn doesn’t seem to get reflected on the user so you can fight undead without them being a hindrance.
If going PRM mostly for the elemental damage, there’s most likely no devotion proc as potent as Elemental Storm, and you definitely want it bound to a skill that ensures the proc being up as close as possible to 100%, so definitely not Devastation.
I experimented a lot with builds which were a blind sage was taken by, and the only one who didn’t ask to be in the trash immediately after the tests were a druid build that using obliteration from tome of arcane wastelands as main damage source.
Blind Sage sucks
For PRM i’d suggest you this Aether Breaker - http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49908
