From a Book item that was on the ground straight after a load. Have verified game files successfully.
Reloaded the game to try and see if there was a bug that was making my gold vanish each month that could be sorted by reloading. Have to do things now, but will edit later if things change and there isn’t just some kind of gold sink somewhere.
