Breaking objects with kick animation freezes character

When a melee character breaks an object like a barrel or door with the kick animation they are temporarily frozen in place so the left mouse button must be reclicked and held in order to move again. Swinging the weapon is fine and all ranged attacks appear to be okay. ‘Move to breaks objects’ has no effect on the issue.

wanted to report the same thing but hadn’t figured out it was linked to the animation used. is that also sometimes the case when looting corpses/opening chests or am i imagining things?

Yes I can confirm this also. I probably wouldn’t have found this one on my own but trying to quickly loot a body and run passed it gives the same result. The character is temporarily frozen and LMB has to be reclicked to move again.

Yes noticed this too. Movement is stopped by the animation.

Not sure if it’s related to this, but maybe it’s possible the same animation is kinda buggy when breaking down walls / opening doors? Since when doing those, sometimes it acts as if the obstacle was still there and wouldn’t let me cross, and would go back to normal only after a couple seconds (I think 10 or so). I remember stumbling into this bug in the past but 1. it was less often, and 2. it fixed itself quicker than now.

I don’t think so but it may be. I have come across the bug you’re mentioning traversing where a barrier was previously but not being able to cross. However, if I’m recalling correctly, I could still move around in the immediate area before the barrier while not being able to pass as if the barrier was still there. And yeah after 10 or so seconds I would be able to pass like normal. I can’t recall the last time I ran into that and haven’t been able to reproduce it reliably yet.
