Are the skills are only for specific items or can you “extract” the skills from the item and put them into another one?
Not sure what you mean. Modders can do anything: take a skill from one item and put it on another. A character in the game has no way of modifying items. The closest are components that grant a skill, so you can improve an item with such a component to gain that skill.
It seems the fix has reset all existing components to the minimum. If new components are experiencing this issue, please let us know.
That 5MB patch was part of the hotfix. Seems you did not get it all at once for some reason, RxJunkie.

Where are you finding items that are level 40 or even 50?
The highest items I’ve found were Medals that were changed in some upgrade that make them level 32, so how can you list a bunch of stuff that’s a level 50 requirement?
Shalie uses the actual database records for the items to include the possible affixes (prefixes and suffixes for all items types) as well as the Monster Infrequent item bases and Epic Items. Also included are the materia (components) and their possible average completion bonuses.
If you can access the records themselves, you can see what is included now, but this also includes things that cannot and will not drop in the current build B16.
Did Ancient Shambler lose one of his attacks? I don’t think he used his wave attack the last time I fought him.
Might want to create a separate bug thread about this one, wouldn’t be the first time a boss has lost one of his attacks for some reason (i.e. the Warden).
I was wondering if I missed a notice.
If Ancient Shambler has lost one of his attacks, I don’t believe it is intentional. So best to report it in the bug thread section once you’re 100% sure it’s missing. I’ll do a run shortly to see if I notice it using this attack so I can confirm. 
Hi there! I discovered this game, and since I was a BIG fan of Titan Quest and dejected w/ Diablo 3, I immediately signed up with Grim Dawn, and it’s a hoot!!!
I tried telling about it to my friends and co-forum posters as much as I could. But I was wondering when is the next update due? Is there a Schedule in place?
Every 2nd Monday there is a new Grim Misadventures which shows something that the devs are working on (or have worked on).
Otherwise the next big update will be Act 2 which we may see late January to Early February if all goes well - it’s already in internal testing so it’s getting there.
