[BUG REPORTS] Grimarillion v0.2.4+

@All, I see nothing in the dbrs for v027 to suggest Ravna is still bugged, going to test myself now. I admit to screwing it up try to add to it,but then I reverted it and it looks fine. If anyone else has been at the end of that tunnel since v027, would like to hear about it.

As I wrote on the main thread, I have the same issue with the queen Ravna.

Ok, I never got to test yet, but now I just trust you guys. I am working on materia atm, there is a rather long checklist of things I need to get through, then build, test and upload. Now sure how spoon exactly this will be, but I am working on it.

v028 Changelog:

Put back amulet, ring, medal qualifiers for components as in Cornucopia, retained spear, staff qualifiers from Grim Quest. Fixed bug in HellBane Ammo so that it now actually includes amulet and medal as intended. Added Staff qualifier to anno-type materia (I mean hell, if they work in a medal/ring/amulet, why not a Staff too).

Fixed bug where Grimmest heroes dropped non-Autopickup materia and crafting items.

Added in all monsters in hopes that Ravna will now work.

Capped at 3 Lutra, Anoxis, and some others…(yeah, real specific)
Moosilauke and Ilgorr will now RNG spawn 1 or 2 on death.
Deathspawns for Aetherial Abominations and Obelisks are now RNG 1-3 on death. As are others, just not really sure what the names of the spawns are.

Reverted the Direni deathspawn to a single NPC. (yeah, mass-modding records is bad)

Corpsefiends now come in RNG 3-5.

Changed Warden death from Mesmer to Beholdan and Kyzogg death from Mesmer to Bane’Zal. (death proxies are very limited and not like the other proxies)

Enabled spear/staff for all relevant enchants. (Thanks Kathanious for pointing this out. Sadly, was unable to use the records you provided as I never know what other mods have already modded these records. They were all in my sources already, so I suspect something did).

is it possible to install a fresh version of Grimarillion and not lose content by deleting the old install? because how I have been doing it is just copiing the new version over the old file and overwriting the old files with the new.

noticed when selecting Grimarillion mod to play and selecting difficulty that it is as the vanilla game…normal veteran elite and ultimate. don’t know if this is a bug or you guys changed it.

I now susepct that have one two many folders in your Grimarillion install. Please read the bottom of the first post in the release thread more carefully.

Ravna works now and everything else seems to be just fine. Tho difficulty names are back to normal-elite-ultimate , v028.

Did you enter mod, exit to main menu to check?

oh i just noticed. The names are like that only in the main menu , ingame they look just fine.

nvm they just changed back while i was playing >< . Now everything is ok.

Queen Ravda(mobile) does not spawn after you beat her stationary(hive-attached) version

I’ve never played a demolitionist using thermite mines in vanilla, but in Grimarillion v028 I’m playing an arsonist (Demolitionist + Earth) and I noticed that the mines bodyblock the monsters. I just tried against the Mad Queen, and she was unable to reach me by placing some thermite mine on the path. Same with the Bysmiel boss right before, unable to reach me by blocking the access to the bridge by placing some thermite mines.

After testing a bit more, I can clearly see that some monsters seems to pass through, while some others (the Sentinel) walked around the mines. I guess their hitbox is much smaller than the mad queen (which makes sense).

I don’t know how, and I don’t have the material/software to make video, but maybe I can stream via steam if needed.

There seems to be a bug with the AutoPickUp mod(?). My inventory is constantly spammed with small with small components, even when I’m walking in town or standing still. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

Pickup every component, that issue only happens when you leave components on the ground and wander too far from them. They are automatically vacuumed to your character once you walk out of a certain range, but this also duplicates them because they never leave the ground. Yes, it’s a bug, but it’s the price you pay for autopickup until a workaround can be found.

Fixed bugs in Autopickup (some scrap and a couple of components could drop in non-autopickup form).
Thanks to Crate, Autopickup can (and does) now use a new onPickup() trigger. The bug/exploit from onRemoveFromWorld() is no more!

I seem to be unable to pick up Chthonic Seals of Binding in v0.3.4 - they drop from enemies, and I was able to use one in my stash to activate a shrine, but when I try to pick them up, they disappear from the ground (and never show up in my inventory).

Full disclosure: I unpacked the archive file to tweak a few class abilities and skill point progression. I have not touched the item files at all, and for the life of me, I can’t find a difference between the files in 0.3.3 and 0.3.4 that deal with the seals.

Thanks for making an awesome mod, though. I’ve learned a lot about GD modding just by searching the database files and noting the changes/additions.

EDIT: …or it could be the latest Crate patch. I’m not sure which is the case.

UPDATE (12/22): I can spawn the seals on the ground and add them to my inventory directly using the console. The ones I spawn on the ground can be picked up, but the ones dropped from enemies cannot. Also, the ones dropped by enemies have lighter text than the ones made by the console. I wonder if this is due to some change in the way the game handles the seals versus the way the autopickup mod does. I’ll test a few more things as time permits.

UPDATE x2: It’s definitely the autopickup function. Right now, I’m not able to pick up any components that are dropping.

I received the report that the phenomenon in which the Fleshwarped Commander of the Homestead neighborhood does not move with T pose happens frequently. This phenomenon seems to happen when he have a spear. There are reports that this phenomenon also occurs in DAIL.
