This really got me wondering about looking at the various Blood Knight builds around, see what’s most “complete character”-like while staying, if not an afk build, but 1-2 button build (not a 1-2 button build with 3 other skills that you really should also be using).
So I’m wondering about banana_peel’s Archon above:
There’s a bunch of different “on attack” procs all over the place, but I’m not seeing what exactly actually attacks much in the build.
Is it just the Tip the Scales devotion?
Is it Presence of Vitrue?
Is it something else I’m not seeing?
Are player scaled pets perhaps treated as “player attacks”?
Blood Knight set gives player scaled pets, which should be able to trigger those? Also, spectral wrath seems to proc things reliably. I’ve been toying around with some auradins lately, but none could AFK Calla.

If pet builds are allowed to have taunt, i think they should be the fastest.
Originally, if i didn’t misinterpret it, the wording was that Calla must attack the player, not pets. Every normal pet build has taunt.
If you can have taunt, you probably go full Briar Archon with Beastcaller and then stack regen with tree of life, make it perma or close to with PotT, convert them to cold or lightning, add pet shield if needed. That’s where i woudl start. But it’s gonna take time to figure out
The principle is the same as in the DK as I used - use pseudo-pets from Blood Knight and Nightbringer while having really high armor/passive sustain layers. Archon can do it better with more pets but is more vulnerable.
I think Maya tested her tankiest pet build without casting totems and it didn’t work. Taunt doesn’t ensure that Calla would never target you, I think. Plus, you can’t really keep too much of a distance without getting hit by Calla’s various nadoes, shifting sands, etc. But I see no problem using a pet build as long as it’s fully AFK, that is, we aren’t allowed to resummon, buff, heal pets.

I briefly tried pets like this:
It was a failure. Dmg is definitely higher than BK, it’s about 5 min worth. I never tweaked pet builds for Calla, no idea what level of dmg she does to them and what do you need to protect the pets. Tree of life and full mog pact is definitely not nearly enough to outheal her dps. The character itself lacks regen and da.
60%phys res for pets? which char?
A few adjustments. Maya will frown, but 3x HP pool, 4% leech, 53% phys res, damage is now hybrid, healing from raven. It’s a start. Haven’t looked into components and augments yet.

Is there any way to make sure you never get aggroed by Calla, so that the beast only focuses on your pets? Both Briar and Hellhound are at max taunt…
