This works and pets survive but the character dies LMAO. Even at 50k hp, good regen, 3.3k DA, 4k armor.

Hm… you can try parking your char far away from the fight as possible but close enough to still get hit by tornadoes to trigger things like Tree of Life. After that it is mostly just RNG.
Tried… It’s a random mess. The pets+Calla commotion is moving randomly all over the place, eventually getting close to you and RIP. Let me record a vid real quick…

Pets are pretty sturdy I must say, Briar sitting at 220k HP. I mean, it’s probably possible to make the character indestructible, but at a serious damage expense. It’s already looking slower than 9min as it is.

So my brain bit this challenge and burped up this meme concept:
Went with Guardians and Blade spirits + hardcapped NC, focused on Vit, probably wont work that well in terms of clear speed, but in theory it should work. Wish we had a MI medal though that worked with GoE or BS as that would allow for more adjustments.

Cold WD and BS, in theory it should also work, but dear elder gods, it was painful to pump WD, BS and NC up enough 
Not enough gear support lawl.
Going full Chillwhisper could also work, but then support for WD is then a pain in the rear.
How would these survive Calla AFK?
you’re not reaching 24 spirits in either setup, nor 24 goe also
devil dmg doesn’t stack from main node (so there is no need to go in on it so hard for points), neither does devil dmg modifiers (so what you care about is largely + summons for dmg)

The various divinity procs plus adcth from Blade Spirit in theory, Tip the Scales also helps a lot I’ve found in general vs SR. 2nd one also benefits hugely from life regen, so I may get go the Tree of Life route + Amatok instead of the current path.
Probably spin them out 2 days from now, since I have other stuff to do and GD stashing everything takes awhile, especially when damage conversion is involved.
Also, does it count as a retal build if I don’t take retal gear? Because I just had a a very stupid physical build idea pop up in my brain, but it requires “on hit/block” devotions to work 
And some of those are retal devotions. Because I’m addicted to Mythical Fury of Beronath’s 100% elemental to physical noob trap. Even if I don’t end up using it sometimes.
Probably Oathkeeper/Necro would be the fairest way, since going Warlord means you’re going to take Counterstrike, and that’s very much a retaliation based skill sadly
True, getting to those levels though is a royal pain in the arse gear wise. Since RR is also badly needed and there’s just not that much in the way of gear options 
Anyhow, guess I go for points for BS then for the Trickster, as I didn’t know WD didn’t stack outside of the -RR part
was just a mention to note some of the gear chasing is perhaps less considerate of overall effectiveness.
Ex being you’re using a +2 celestial presence ring, when if you wanted RR you could use a -10% vit res ring, or use Lifegiver ring for + guardian dmg (and heal proc, not that it would save the build against calla dmg ofc)
Or trickster using raging tempest medal for +2, when it could use blade spirit green prefix or reaper pants etc

This is a conjurer. I don’t think you can break 600% pet life on a cabalist. But a tanky cabalist can be built with 200k+ blightfiends.
interesting. do you have a grimtools for that? i heard conjurers are the strongest among pet builds
The strongest in terms of damage is Maya’s fluffy squishy. Pretty tanky too. The one I used for Calla here is built just for that one purpose, - make pets sturdy enough to survive Calla. But I can’t make both the pets and character survive AFK. The damage is gimped too. Thinking about it, there might be a way to strike some balance with a ghol ritualist. Need to test…
try my character maybe. damage is not optimized (not full conversion to acid) but wasnt meant for fast kills cause can resummon skellies pretty fast. Gotta farm for a better cowl tho…
What does ghoul achieve here? Since you’re not the one attacking, is it just for the phys res?
