Build question: Nightblade with...?

Greetings

I began my new game (as I had not selected the D3 map) as a Nightblade (obviously for the Melee Dual Wield, of course), and i came to a point where i can choose a secondary class.

I am trying to build out a “massive damage” build, but one that is more passive for this character.
Though, that is not a must-have requirement though.

What would be the best class to mix up with the Nightblade?

Thank you very much:
Xog.

What’s your favorite damage style ?
Fire, cold, lightning, aether, chaos, poison, vitality, physical, bleeding ?

You can’t go wrong with Inquisitor. It has great synergy with Nightblade. It has RR for Pierce (Death Sentence) and Cold (Aura of Censure), it has Inquisitor Seal so that you can actually go melee without dying, Word of Renewal line is a great support for any class, and it even has Rune of Hagarrad should you choose to go that route for damage.

You can pick any class you like and make it work, but if you’re looking for performance first, you won’t regret picking Inquisitor.

Slowly choking the enemy to death. :stuck_out_tongue:

Physical, I guess.
Most straight forward for a “warrior” I guess?

@Dlesar: Inquisitor…
This is quite mage type, no?

Rune of Hagarrad would feel like a caster. But if you’re looking for a dual-wield bladed death machine, Infiltrator (Nightblade + Inquisitor) is still the way to go. It’s pierce damage, which is close enough to Physical damage I’d say.
Here’s the most popular build for dual wield Infiltrator.

You could also go for Blademaster (Soldier + Nightblade) for a similar effect, using the same set actually. Not sure which one is better, they’re very similar. But if you go Soldier, you’re pretty much locked into this one build, where Inquisitor keeps more builds open if you change your mind.

If u want physical or piercing damage u can choose between Soldier and Inquisitor for better results

U can always check Grimtools website to see some end game gear and base yourself and your skills with what u wanna use late game

screw inquisquisher, be a man and go soldier

Fair enough, Sir.
It looks like that would be the ideal for this character, in hindsight, overthinking this, was however thinking that the Crusader would be an option as well, as this one is not “magery” for what I know of Crusaders…

So, Soldier or Crusader?

Thank you.

Il silenzio…

What’s a “Crusader”? Maybe a new mastery combination for the upcoming expansion?

Not Crusader?
The Tank Warrior?

Can’t check right now, killing thingies ingame. XD

DW cold/light Trickster and then aim for Korba set later on?

DW?
Trickster?
Please elaborate?

I still cannot either remember or check for the tank class.
I THINK it was Crusader?

I wasn’t all that serious. Inquisitor is probably the strongest class itg.

When it comes to pure dw melee you probably wanna go pierce or cold as these two dmg types offer best performance. Cold, that’s trickster (nightblade+shaman). There’s also acid with reaper (nb+necro). As for pierce, blademaster (nb+soldier) or infiltrator (nb+inqui). Which is better? I’ll never get tired discussing that: I prefer bm but imo infiltrator might be a bit stronger…

EDIT: there’s no crusader in gd

There is in mine???

Link nor picture option seems to be working…

And yes, I have Grimellion 62a, no other mod…

Most of the responses you’re going to get in Gameplay Discussion are going to be about the base game. I’d imagine you’re looking for Modding Discussion.

Ah thank you Sir.
