Builds without dlc

Having trouble finding a build for the base game (+crucible).

I want to get back into the game but am waiting for the dlc to go on sale.

I know build compendium v is supposed to be for this, however the builds there are based on older patches.

Changes to skills, items, devotions etc over time seem to make them vastly different in strength or viability than they once were.

Are there any more up to date level 85 guides or at least something I can follow to help me out with a build?

Depends on what version of the game you’re playing, but I doubt you’ll find many builds outside of the compendium just for the base game.

My game is up to date (v1.1.2.2), that’s why the compendium doesn’t help me here.

Um, I think you might be out of luck then. Most people have one or both of the expansions so I don’t think there are any builds being done just for the base game. Still, hopefully someone might be able to come up with one for you based on the latest version of the game.
