Buying Legendaries?!?

I thought I read somewhere that Crate had allowed players to craft/buy legendries.

Is it true? If so I think this is a cop-out. One thing (among many) that I hated about D3 is the fact you can just craft legendries or turn rare’s into legendries. If this is really the case can we get another level of rare drops such as Mythological or Ancient or something that only comes from extremely rare drops.

You use rare crafting materials to trade for legendaries. The rate they drop is much worse than farming for a legendary anyway. At least now you can trade in a few unwanted legendaries and epics for the materials and then get a legendary back after trading in a lot.

Visit blacksmith that allow you to craft legendary and see for yourself if it is that easy to craft. Farming for the material itself is enough/equal effort to get legendary.

Aside from the legendaries blueprints you can drop, there’s a blacksmith that allow you to craft a random legendary for 8 rare crafting materials. (Depending on which king of legendary you want)

Can also drop a blueprint. Not just a gear item.

As mentioned above, there is a celestial blacksmith in Tyrant’s hold that builds random legendaries out of 8 rare materials like ancient heart, frankly speaking not worth it, I really hope they can lower the cost to maybe 3 or 4.

Personally I’d rather see a massive price increase, but alongside the ability to select specific item types like “rifle” instead of broad categories like “ranged weapon”. It would make the crafting process feel meaningful by requiring a significant investment from the player, while also making the result more likely to be meaningful by removing a lot of the pure RNG inherent to the current system.

Then after that all u do is do legendary crafting farm coz its worth it?

Crafting not suppose to replace normal farming but just a gambling material sink to try ur luck getting ur desired item.

But yeah i agree 8 is too much. But not sure if 3 is a good number.

The problem with regular farming is that it’s just pure RNG. When I’m tying to level up I can see that I’m making progress as I go: the bar fills and I can see how much is left to do before I receive my reward in the form of a level. Loot grinding doesn’t have that, you just keep killing things and hope that what you want eventually drops. Crafting is a way to fix that by giving you something to consciously work toward, but the current system doesn’t actually do that because there’s still too much RNG in what you get out of it.

every day is more like d3. I hope they realize and stop going down that road.

This game is pretty much as far away from D3 as you can get. Just because they gave rare crafting materials a use beyond just making components and specific items doesn’t mean the game is becoming like D3. How is RNGing a random lengendary for a turn in of materials any different than RNGing a legendary from a boss? You can pick the type you want from a very broad category, big deal. Trying to find gear for the character you are playing is a total crapshoot right now, some of us appreciate the added variety to get legendaries.

If you don’t like it don’t use it.

For the amount of time it takes to get 8 rare materials, then I am taking a chance of 1 legendary… I will take my chances at buying one every now and then.

I see, it sounds like it’s a lot of work to craft them, which is good. I didn’t like it in D3 when you get to max level in a few hours and then your geared in a few more and then all your doing is just looking for gear to improve your build by 0.01%.
