one of the reasons for the itemsā modification for cadence is actually about how it works. Because all the gears that have mods for Cadence only apply to Cadence hit and not other 2 charges, so that the mods for Cadence often apply very big buff to compensate. Have you ever seen any other Savagery/ RF/ Fire strike items got some huge WD buffs/ giant flat damage buffs/ plenty of increase attack arc and maximum target easily - like what we had with Cadence? Even a very small gear piece like Voidrend Talons glove has like 50-60% WD mod for Cadence easily, and Scion of Arcane Force is my favourite items in the game for any AAs. The idea behind all of that: because your Cadence hit is so freaking big- other 2 charge hit donāt matter that much, so if you canāt get those mods for all your hit-,itās still functioning well like it supposed to. And 1 more great thing about all Cadence builds i played is, i dont need to try getting 100% WPS, or even maximum %WPS as i could. Because it doesnt matter, 95% of your damage come from big Cadence hit with those huge mods, other WPS offer very little. All i need to get is 200% atk speed, so that my bonk hit get faster and more frequent. Thats why other DAR builds/sets need a lot of mod for WPS to shine, and Cadence sets/gears only need mods for Cadence only.
If you want to change the mechanic behind Cadence, try to get all hit and other WPS get the mods, clearly that all other Cadence mods will turn down a lot, result in making Cadence no more unique gameplay other than Sava or RF or FS. And i am against that idea. You can call Cadence WPS or DAR whatever you want, i donāt want to change its unique mechanic

The only way to have Cadence better than Blade Arc is to max your wps, to patch the two normal attacks that precede the third hit. But the issue I mentioned still remains. Any def att replacer should have all its attacks modified by gear. For example, you canāt use Crimson Claws gloves to convert the damage of all your attacks that come from using Cadence, like it would happen for any other dar. Or any other gear that provides bonus dmg or other effects to Cadence. Everything applies only to the third hit, even though Cadence includes the two previous attacks in its definition too.
Well⦠It can matter a lot, because some WPS can trigger multiple hits which then charges your cadence faster. So you get to do more of the big boinks. ![]()
