The issue is that when CT is assigned to LMB and/or RMB, whenever the button is held down, if enemies are not in range (Classic casting option enabled), when PC runs towards them, energy just goes from 100% to 0% as if I cast CT non-stop when I’m definitely not, PC is running. What I noticed is that energy gets consumed every time I slide mouse over a new target with CT-assigned button held down, what happens a lot all the time whenever there’s a group of enemies. Also I just tested, the same thing happens with the skill from cracked lodestone, Lightning nova, which I assume is mechanically similar to CT.
At times it just makes so that by the time PC and enemies get in range you’re suddenly left with no energy at all.
Also there’s another issue with CT/LN and classic casting, not as significant as the previous one, but still a little inconvinient. It’s just that lower-level CT and LN have smaller radius than the radius that Classic casting considers “in range”, thus PC gets close to enemies, starts casting CT/LN but doesn’t deal any damage simply beacause it’s just too small and damage radius doesn’t connect to a hitbox of an enemy.

*probably not intended regardless, but some effects have been known on dw to accidentally consume energy 2x

No, I’m not. I use Kyzogg’s skull for off-hand, it’s a new Sorc char.
I think these two issues might be related to eachother, and the double consumption on a singular click and cast is also the reason why energy bar depletes whenever I change target with my mouse and button held down.
