I’m an old curmudgeon, I don’t like change. So far, all 1.3 did for me was make the game run and look worse, when it was running perfectly fine before. I play Hardcore exclusively and I can already tell this poor performance will cost me a character eventually so is there any way of going back to when things worked just fine?

1.1.9.8 is still available under game versions in steam options for GD, but I don’t think any 1.2.x is.

Also, if you were to go back to 1.2 now all of the characters you’ve played in 1.3 would no longer be compatible.

On GOG, even if you haven’t kept the 1.2.1.6 offline installers, you’re allowed to go back a few versions when installing through Galaxy. I believe 1.2.1.6 should still be there.
Going back means not able to play the new expansion or future patches, any characters that have already been in the expansion can’t be played now.
that does work, but with GD those options quickly disappear from GD’s hotfix and interval patching, since GoG has a limit to how many version rerolls you have available
(last i looked couldn’t even go back to 1.2.0, 1.2.1 or 9.8 from subsequent patches)
*so be quick if you’re on GoG to roll back and backup your version, as it might be out itterationed quick with 1.3 intervals
