Can Sunder buff/enhance Sunder and other debuffs?

Reaper of the Lost deals 36% Sundered in Elite Difficulty. 30% base value in Normal Difficulty, and 20% higher in Elite. 30%*120%=36%.

So, Reaper’s first hit deals 36% Sundered.
However, this Sunder attack has 3 hits.
48% Sundered for the 2nd hit (36%*136%=48.96%, round down).
53% Sundered for the 3rd hit (36%*148%=53.28, round down).

As for the interaction between Sunder and other debuffs (like RR and RD), I’m not sure, but a few simple and unrigorous tests shows that Sunder can intensify/enhance other debuffs. Does anyone have a clear and detailed conclusion?

Edit.
Here is my testing results. I cannot guarantee this sheet is completely correct.
Sunder influences everything.

that’s what we said/thought assumed in the beginning after ptr/1.2 etc,
then it was said, by someone(checked the files for debuff type iirc), it wasn’t the case/sunder shouldn’t do that (i believe it was after DR got fixed) and seems to be confirmed in patch notes
Continuing the discussion from Grim Dawn Version v1.2.0.0 + v1.2.0.1 + v1.2.0.2 + v1.2.0.3 Hotfixes:

after this one was told it was a tooltip display error at some point (discord? i don’t remember)

DR doesn’t reduces other debuffs. It’s true.
But Sunder does increase other debuffs and itself. I add sunder to player skills (RoS) and use fixed damage to attack dummy. The damages continuously go up at each hit.

I’m not sure whether it is a new issue in v1216 ptr, or it has already existed since earlier version. I remenber that I did similar tests before v1213, and didn’t find/realized this phenomenon. i’m confused whether it is intend or not.

judging by patch notes i’d assume it’s unintended
but who knows

Is this right? Sunder raise the RD to 96%. (playtest)

That reminds me of the old exploit in Oblivion where you could geometrically grow the potency of your hits by adding “weakness to magic” to your weapon’s enchantments.

I remember that. Kill anything in three hits.

So this frightful stack of sunder debuff would only work with enemies that can apply sunder more frequent than it lasts.
Alkamos comes to mind. Anyone else?

benji, anasteria, mogdrogen, ravager, etc
and that’s just for increased multiplicative scaling
just their first sunder you get hit by will amplify whatever other debuff they apply following

When facing several boss at the same time, one applies sunder, and other apply debuffs. These debuffs are also scaled.
Some magnified debuffs are more dangerous and frightful than sunder. RD and Fumble not only decrease you damage but also leech. And magnified RR is deadly. Gnomish showed a picture of 220 RR from mogdrogen in another topic.

Lokarr is a huge one here. Tested with a cluster and got up to 95% more damage and up to 728 DA reduction. Kaisan can also hit you with multiple sunder projectiles in one attack which seems to make things worse.

ye i wasn’t trying to remotely list all, just like a small nudge it’s way more than just alkamos concern/considerations to be had

mi0 when you did this did you pay attention to/were you able to definitely conclude whether or not sunder enhances initial direct hit dmg, or only for follow up. *assuming non ticking sunder attack like alkamos pools etc
So like Shambler’s “instant” attack/dmg sunder nova does or doesn’t enhance the dmg of the flat phys on the nova itself?

because i’m getting hit like 8k on a char with 4% phys and nothing else, and i can’t really get that to make sense if sunder boosts dmg on the attack itself, (unless phys values were reduced a huge ton).

only for following up. The first attack won’t be enhanced, unless it has multi/more than one hits.

you mean this one? Let’s see.
1619 base damage, 4% Physical Damage and 936 Cunning. 1619*(1+4%+936/245)=7804, ~8k. Armor should reduce some, Internal added some. It seems fine.

ye i got it to 8k too without sunder, but would have had to been like x3 multiplier only if it was supposed to be enhanced by sunder on the hit
which would mean like -150% base phys stat to lower that much cunning bonus

appreciate you confirming it’s only followup, saved the note for future references
