Can´t get Skeleton Key (Descent into torment / Old Scars)

Hey guys,

first of all, I´m new to the game and really like it. Currently playing my first hero - a saboteur.

At the moment I´m struggling to finish a quest as I am missing the Skeleton Key to be able to reach lvl 4 and 5 of “Steps of Torment”.
I´ve already googled a lot and it seems like you will get 1 key + crafting recipe by doing the quests “Descent into torment” and “Old Scars”.

I should be able to find Kalderos (the guy giving the quest) either before the entry to the steps of torment or at level 3 in there after killing the boss. He´s not available for me anywhere.

I have also read that Minerva gives the quests before Kalderos, but she also has no more quests for me.

Last thing I´ve read is that “Cursed Smith” in “Gates of Necropolis” might be able to help. He isn´t :frowning:

Do you guys have any idea how I can gather it or what I could´ve done wrong?
Any help is highly appreciated.

Sounds like an old guide, that was before the old arkovia rework.

If you go to twin falls, clear the entire place out in the un-dead area, and you should find a ghost and guy sitting there. They give you a quest, you do said quest, then go to steps of torment.

At the SoT he gives you a new quest, to clear the entire place. Do so. Get free 1 key + recipe to make more as you need to.

People with the same problem might find this thread, so this seems like the appropriate place to post this.

There is a merchant in blood grove that sells the skeleton key recipe. Teleport to blood grove, go over the nearby bridge to the west, and look for a way to pass underneath that bridge. Then you’ll find the merchant to the north.
