Can we have an increased drop chance for chthonic seal of binding? They are VERY annoying to farm.
might aswell just make Benevald sell them for 5k iron at some point
*for reference they got reduced from 12 to 3
That’s wonderful.
Oof, that’s a shame, I actually enjoyed grinding for those because it was so fast and easy.
Seriously? Please don’t. Farming in the Tomb of Korvaak would make no sense anymore if we’re just farming for the seals. And yeah, I agree—it’s really easy to farm. In 2–4 runs, you can collect the 12 seals. What a shame.
hey i’m just the messenger , blame the players that didn’t like farming them
No worries, I didn’t mean you by that.
Honestly, I just don’t get it; it doesn’t take much time at all. There are plenty of other things that are way harder to find. You’d have to be seriously unlucky not to get them within 10–15 minutes, depending on how many you pick up along the way through Blood Groove. And farming is part of the game.
Crate should just add a vendor that offers each piece for 100 iron bits, exclusively for the really hard-to-find items. That way, no casual player has to worry about spending 5–10 minutes grinding.
It’s not fast because you need a ton of it.
And if crafting prices get lowered clearly I’m not the first one to point it out
I checked it out. To craft each blueprint, you’d need about 91 Seals of Binding in total. That means you get around 1–6 seals per run (on average about 4), and it takes less than 5 minutes per run in the Tomb of Korvaak, depending on your character and mobility. So, all in all, it takes less than an hour to farm 48 seals. Honestly, that’s still not much compared to some really rare items, where it can take days to get a decent drop.
If it a Set, sure you need more than that.
And in general, you don’t even need all 91 seals for each character; it depends on the build you’re playing and which items or blueprints you need.
Your math doesn’t quite add up. 5 minutes for 4 seals means you get 48 in an hour.
Yeah, you might be right. I think I had more like 2 minutes per run in mind (Thinking and writing don’t seem to be my strong suits ), which is definitely possible since the Tomb of Korvaak isn’t very big. Thanks for bringing it up, but even if we go with your correction of 5 minutes per run, 2 hours isn’t bad at all compared to other items. So I don’t feel there’s any need to increase the drop rate.
When there’s only one way to get the seals, then farming them becomes a chore. Oh, you want to craft an expensive item? Sacrifice an hour of your time. I hate that. Reminds me of bounties from D3.
I personally find them a bit annoying to farm, because as you said you often only get 1-2 per run. So when you need 48 for a seal of ancestry it gets a bit… discouraging.
Assuming they reduced the cost of oleron’s blood from 12 to 3, I think that’s ok. (It’s on par with seal of annihilation.)
Then I guess you’ve never really played Titan Quest; then you’d know what time-wasted grinding really is. The drop rate there is ridiculously low—really low—so you end up sinking many, many hours just to get one item. I think they’re called Stonebinder’s Cuffs (+1 to all skills); after 120 straight runs on normal, not a single one dropped, and that was not long ago when I last played it.
What I’m trying to say is that farming the seals is no big deal if you’re comparing it to other games.
Honestly, I think nerfing it down from 12 to 3 is too drastic. At 6 or 8 for the blood, I think people would still complain about the drop rate, but it would feel more balanced in my opinion, considering what the relics can do—especially the Tier 3 relics. Personally, I feel it makes them too easy to craft.
