One of these guys (yes a white trash mob!) just one shot my Purifier with nearly 16k health!!!
The first thing I did was to check immediatly if I had any debuffs on me or if he crit me. (wasnt debuffed by anything.)
Turns out with my DA he shouldnt be able to ever crit me…
For everyone curious, this is the build I’m talking about: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/qNYR3de2
This one is able to facetank most endgame bosses & nems but gets annihilated by a stupid WHITE golem throwing a rock that hits harder (again, in one single hit!) then two overlapping fissures from Ulti. Gorgabol?! C’mon…
Have these guys been stealth tuned by the last patch or something?
Thx for the fast response Fluff, Yes I’m VERY sure I had no debuff on me + I forgot to mention that I was sitting in my Seal as well while this happend…
The golem didnt punch me, he threw a molten rock and I died.
Also recording? I dont stream or anything… so there’s no video of it happening. (I allways got my eyes on the debuff bar)
Edit: I also remember being hit REALLY stupidly hard by these guys on my other chars… but never died in 1 hit to them, I’m honestly torn between if I should be mad or just suprised.
I feel for you cause I posted this build and had a blast with it. But shambler boulders I avoid them even in crucible with extra HP and the extra phys res I have there. It does retard phys dmg and %life dmg so i’d just dodge that thing
1481 Physical Damage
15% Reduction to Enemy’s Health
Yeh, looked at ur build thread for rough advice but wanted to give it my own twist and use some underdog epic set instead, got stuck with flame keepers cuz i like the extra attack proc and easy to cap attack speed and + to levels it gives.
Funny you mention Aleks meteors… these sure deal tons of dmg but I actually took alot of them by mistake already and didnt die to them. Was left with very little health tho!
Another reason why Im so damn suprised by that one hit kill from the Golem
Edit: Honestly if u ask me I feel like these guys are a bit overtuned… dont get me wrong tho, I rly like and apreciate hard hitting mobs along the way but I dont apreciate BS random 1 shots.
One golem can even hit for nearly 20k if you don’t dodge his big rock. They have a slight chance to enhance their attacks, and the boulder can one shot even a very strong character (taking in account you don’t have that much armor or physical resist, 35% physical resist, 2650 armor is not enough, since my DK with 17k HP has that stats and even he loses 10 - 30% of his HP).
Also, take in account you can get hit in different places, e.g. hand, head, where the armor is not as high as in chest or legs.
Yeah, steer clear of those things. There’s another type (or maybe it’s the same) that come in threes and like to attack simultaneously with boulders… you don’t want to be there when they arrive!
They have a rock throw that does a LOT of damage. It is super slow and well telegraphed. You just need to look for it. When fighting the named shambler boss in the flooded passage, you will quickly learn their attacks. I remember the times in the alpha when that thing was the most dangerous thing to encounter…
My “favourite” is when you meet a Skeletal Knight that activated its reflection and it has been buffed by a Priest which also keeps healing it… My Blademaster almost died a few times from her own reflected bleed and poison over time…
Goes to show how much more complex monsters are in this game than in Diablo III, with a lot of creature synergies. I learned early to go for the priests with my Druid too, as their buff gives a lot of elemental resistance to the alread powerful knights.
^Pretty much that. They only throw them when they are a certain distance from you so always be wary in their possible spawn areas and keep an eye out on the edges of your view. As long as you know they are there the boulders are easy to dodge. Once you are in melee range tho that won’t happen and you can easily tear them a new one.
Plus with the newly announced movement skills coming in the next expac they should be easier than ever to dodge.
