Probably worth a bug report, this is hilarious!
When I was playing this quest for the first time, I thought something bad would happen if I failed to defend the necromancer. This must be it. Nice.
I hope Crate wonât prevent it from happening. But they could explain the way Nemeses worked now somewhere in the game, so that new players arenât confused as to why the quest plays out completely different.
I donât think it is a bug, they can spawn anywhere their faction shows upâŚ
Hehe, true, would be funny if this was a failed quest result!
I wish they added some sort of âNemesis counterâ. Maybe a slider if you open the faction window? To show how close you are from summoning one. Indeed for new players, this must be a shock.
Managed to summon both GravaâThul and Archmage Aleksander in Mourndale/Malmouth Outskirts. Basically Grava got summoned right down south next to the totem on the ridge, I kited him up to the north end of Mournedale, right where the bridges to Malmouth start. He stopped there and got distracted attacking the Aetherials. I then wandered around and killed all enemies around them, then lured out the Aetherials to the bridges, to ensure their nemesis gets summoned close enough. In the end Aleksander spawned near that fortress on the south-west side.
I lured him down and sure enough, Grava eventually started attacking him, but Aleksander never stopped attacking me, so we ran around in circles to (imagined) Benny Hill music, him chasing me, Grava chasing him. They both lost most of their HP by the end though and went down right next to each other!
The real question is, can they be brought to the fight pit in old arkovia?
I wish. I remember during the alpha there were some undead in Four Hills, so you could potentially have Fabius vs. Moosilauke!
Well the Tyrant Hold, Arkovian Dock, and Twin Falls is very close to each other, and can be the ground zero for Fabius, Moosi, and Kuba
If the Celestial Totem in in the Arkovian Docks, Kaisan could spawn there, too.
The mod that Iâm playing includes increased hero density (and thus gets a whole bunch of faction heroes stacked together) but otherwise doesnât change vanilla mechanics. After some careful positioning, I was able to get 2 Kuba clones to fight Valdaran. The fight goes on at a glacial pace, but seeing Valdaran dip below 2M heath convinced me that through a long enough battle, Kuba would emerge victoriously.
Kubacabra wins against all Nemeses because of his healing pools.
Nice one! Yeah, seems Kubaâs regeneration is too strong for the others to overcome. Though maybe Fabius would have a chance due to his insane high crit damage attacks.
