have tried using Window and Windowed Fullscreen but neither allow switching to other windows apps using Alt+Tab or accessing Desktop using Windows+D.
Also in Window or Windowed Fullscreen there is no vertical scrollbar so it is difficult to access the icons at bottom right of game interface. this was an issue in 0.7.5 and still present in 0.7.6.
When game is in windowed fullscreen the Alt+tab function actually appears completely disabled as i cannot even use that to navigate through other apps even when Farthest Frontiers isn’t the app in focus.
Hi try the old Alt-Enter trick for this, works on many games/windows apps, and this is how I get rid of white top bar and get game into true full screen 
Alt+Enter only appears to switch between fullscreen and windowed fullscreen (just shortcutting instead of changing in game’s video settings.
Neither of which modes are appearing to allow Alt+Tab to switch to other apps.
i currently have to minimze Farthest Frontiers and use taskbar to switch between apps.
Alt+tab should allow you to go to other programmes while minimising the game down to the taskbar if you’re in fullscreen mode.
Yes it should however it doesn’t appear to be working in Farthest Frontier. Even if i switch to windowed mode Alt+Tab doesn’t work. if i click out the program window so either the desktop or another app has focus even then alt+tab appears disabled. if i close Farthest Frontiers Alt+tab switching works again. it is as if the program is disabling that keyboard shortcut.
Strange. It’s working fine for me.

Yes, and alt+tab definitely works before starting the game and once the game has closed, only while the game is running alt+tab is disabled.
Weird because I was alt+tabbing in/out all day yesterday while playing with no problems. Verify the game files and then try doing this in the Settings once you start the game. Go to the Video section and if you have only Fullscreen click on Windowed Fullscreen and then Apply Changes. Then untick the Windowed option and click on Apply Changes again to switch back to just Fullscreen. Then start playing the game. See if that makes Alt+tab work.
