I keep having people die from illness/injury, but the game won’t let me assign a healer, idk why
Healer needs to have education. Potentially, you do not have enough educated people.
My school took a while to find a teacher for this reason. Gotta hope for immigration.

Sometimes I run into a bug with the game where you need to reassign a work slot using the overview (the picture the person above me posted) instead of doing it in the building. Check if you can do it there.

yes this happens to me as well, when this happens I unassign that slot in the building then assign it again.
Thanks for the replies. I actually saved and reloaded, and that’s when it gave the option for reassign. Had it come up once or twice more on different buildings where I had to work around to reassign. Most of my citizens have an education now, but still run into some jobs not having available workers while others do. Is there a job restriction on adolescents still?
My healer is 17 years old … so I don’t think there’s a restriction on that 
The educated workers were assigned to other jobs that didn’t need education. Push a bunch of people back into general labor and then assign healer (same for any other education required job). Then reassign the rest of your work force.
