Cast speed not the same for every spell?

Commando. 200% cast speed.
I´m casting Thermite Mines like a maniac.
Yet my transmuted forcewave (dependant on cast speed) is nearly half as fast in cast frequency.
Why? Is the latter still depedent on the weapon “attack per second”-speed or what?

200% cast speed means the cast animation is 2x faster. Not all spells use the same animation.

Imo 2h Forcewave always looks slower visually to me irregardless of the cast speed. But you can see every % CS increase the sheet DPS, definite sign of it’s scaling.

Dont doubt that.
Just disappointed that its not as fast as other actual spells.

try spamming blackwater cocktail even with 200% cast speed. you will despair at the flying speed of the bottle projectiles.

@kukuhimanpr: Just to be pedantic…casting speed and projectile speed are 2 different things.

e.g. DB strikes almost instantaneously, but what makes targeting difficult is the ~0.1 - 0.2s cast animation. So getting your casting speed up by 50% can actually increase the frequency at which you cast DB.

Compare that to BWC where at 200% CS you could probably throw 3 BWC’s a second. But each BWC would still move very slowly
