Caster Sentinel build help

I need help with a Sentinel build’s itemisation. I stopped playing GD to avoid burning out on it before FG was released and now I’m getting the itch again. I decided I wanted to make a tanky-ish Sentinel Caster focusing mainly on Acid & Poison with secondary Vitality, however, I am struggling with itemisation for it; trying to get a good balance of DA, +skills and Elemental resist is a bit difficult. The two best possibilities I’ve come up with so far use 2 different shields but the weapon and some of the armour choices feel sub-optimal.

Defender of the Three shield:

Pros: More skill points, ~140 more DA, ~500 more Armour, higher Acid/Poison Retaliation damage, more hp, higher block chance/damage blocked.

Cons: Less Physical resist even with AotG, need Mythical Handguards of Perdition along with using the extra skill points to take Righteous Fervor and max Consecration just to overcap Fire/Lightning res by 25% instead of overcapping damage skills, lower Physical conversion (25% Phys > Acid, 10% Phys > Vit).

Mythical Bramblevine:

Pros: 42% Physical resist with AotG, no need to max Consecration to over cap Fire/Lightning res, can use Mythical Viperfang to gain 5 spare SP to slightly overcap DEE and BoD, slightly higher Physical conversion (35% Phys > Acid, 10% Phys > Vit)
Cons: Less Skill points overall, less block chance/damage blocked, less hp/Armour/DA.
