Celestial Stone of Halakor - myth version seems gimped

Curious as to why the myth version of Celestial Stone of Halakor removes the proc skill:

In addition to removing the pretty decent proc, the stats for the myth version aren’t all that much better as well, especially factoring in the removed proc.

For my build (use storm totem pretty heavily) it sounds cool to have an additional totem, but you can’t cast them fast enough especially if you already have an additional totem from another set. I think the set desperately needs to add the skill proc back, or if not, at least make it summon an ADDITIONAL totem each cast (not simply up the limit). That would be far cooler and way more useful.

Have you tried it with Storm effigy MI off-hand?

My build is fine, I’m talking about this item specifically. Seems odd they would completely remove the proc from the Myth version which should be much better. This kinda makes the item a sideways upgrade instead of what should be a solid upgrade for the same build(s).

The mythical version has 1% less CDR in both min/max values

I’d actually go for the level 75 one. Why? 1 more cooldown reduction, comparable stats and the proc. The mythical one looks weaker, way weaker. The only reasons for going for the mythical version are: 20 - 30 more OA, 1 summon limit to Storm Totem. There’s practically no difference in base stats and the level 75 one has a proc skill. I don’t really see a point of going for the mythical version.

The mythical one actually should get the proc from the non-mythical one. The skill modifiers are… well not really useless, but are not enough to compensate the lack of the proc. The only way of fixing it (without touching it too much) would be appling both of those skill modifiers to both of those skills, so +1 limit and + 40% crit damage to both Storm Totem and Mortar Trap. Buffing the base stats will not fix anything, although giving back the 1% cooldown the mythical version is missing would be effective too (but would not fix the item).

Btw, you could’ve posted that in feedback, therefore we could add our thoughts of how to improve this item.

And yeah, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. The totem limit isn’t even useful really either especially if you already have +1 limit from other items since you will never have enough time to cast them all (or I guess if you have really impressive cooldown). It should enable you to cast an additional totem each time.

Suggestions-

-Return Proc
-Increase CDR to non-Mythical value
-Add % Electrocution Duration
-Replace Storm Totem summon limit with 40% Crit damage to Storm Totem

It already has +40% crit damage to Mortar Trap. I hope they keep the Totem stuff, just change it to +1 summon per cast or even grant flat lightning damage to Totem.

I really curious to know if the removing the proc and decreasing some of the stats on the myth version were intentional or an oversight. Maybe the devs felt the original was too strong? It is a great ammy and certainly up there, but doesn’t seem overpowered when compared to many other top tier ammys.
