I planned to make use of 4 Divination procs and high attackspeed. Sadly from hitting dummies with mistborn talisman equipped i estimate that roughly 1/2 to 1/3 of my attacks are default.
According to the description of the weapon pool system I would guess that I wouldnt use my default attack anymore, because my pool consists of 100% replacement.
So what is the estimated chance to use each Skill?
I can see a few possiblilities, but Im not sure which one is correct:
Default weapon attacks have a fixed chance of beeing used (maybe 30-50%) which would put my weapon skill pool over 100%
The weapon pool system checks each replacement separately.
You would think that any skill/damage proc coming off a weapon would depend on which weapon is fired because a lot of the damage stuff on weapons only applies to the weapon apparently (without validating).
As to the percentages though the on hit should then check all skill percentiles at once and apply the ones that proc.
This means that all can fire at once or just one or the other and not every shot.
If every single one is proc’d and they all have a 1 in 5 chance (20%) of doing so theoretically you would have to wait 4 shots for them to successfully proc again.
Though this would naturally vary and the likelihood of all of them firing at once would be lower than 1-2 proc’ing every shot.
If you are reporting that only 15 percent of shots proc skills/damage then it sounds like they are clumped together and a single random roll/number is generated that governs them all; thus either they all proc or none of them do.
This would make sense because a 5% error either way may well be experienced just as while a coin has a 50/50 chance of coming up heads or tails flipping it three time you may well get three heads in a row even if over it’s lifetime it hovers at 50 with a varience of (+/-1)/n [at 100 throws this being what a 0.5% drift if it bucks the trend].
Duellist of the Barrelsmith’s Twins set is a proc’ed skill, which does not belong to your weapon pool skills. It has a 20% chance to proc on top of your other attacks. Or does the in-game description state activates off of default weapon attacks?
So, in total you have a 80% chance for any of the WPSs to be used and 20% for a default weapon attack.
Edit: Something looks odd here, because the rest of the tooltip suggests Duellist is a WPS, too. :undecided:
Well i guessed all Barrelsmith’s abilities are default replacement attacks, because they all have a “chance to be used” instead of “chance on attack”
Edit:
Maybe Barrelsmith’s abilities only overwrite the respective weapon(s) used
So Lefthand and Righthand attacks would have a 70% chance to be overwritten (no duelist and crossfire OR salvo) and attacks with both hands would have 80% chance to be overwritten (no salvo or crossfire)
This would lead to approx. 26% to use a default attack. (with a 33% chance to attack with left weapon, right weapon and both weapons)
