"Chance on Hit" and Damage Conversion

Let’s say you have Mythical Blood Orb of Ch’thon and Mythical Arcane Harmony Leggings. Does the Elemental Damage on hit of the pants convert to Chaos Damage? Couldn’t find on other places.

Thanks in advance.

yes,
blood orb is global conversion so it affects any flat elemental/acid dmg that isn’t already converted or impacted with direct conversion, so it will affect and convert a regular proc like the elemental blast

Thank you. Have a good evening and let’s hope the expansion comes out soon. =)

I have got question regarding damage type conversion as well.

Take the top 20 Lightning Retaliation Archon as the example.

The Conduit of Divine Whispers converts 100% Aegis of Menhir physical and fire damage to piecing damage.
Mythical Scion of Burning Vengeance converts 100% Aegis of Menhir physical damage to lightning
Mythical Skybreach of Bulwark converts 100% Aegis of Menhir fire damage to lightning
Light Bringer’s Gargoyle girdle of Attack converts 60% piecing damage to fire.

In the demo video, the resultant damage of Aegis of Menhir is obviously lightning.

So what is the order of conversion? Which items will have higher priority to convert first?
Is it physical & fire → piecing → fire → lightning or
physical → lightning & fire → lightning before the Conduit conversion take effective?

Same as always, direct/skill conversion first, global secondary, and conversion can’t happen twice, ie if something is already converted via direct/skill mod conversion that converted portion can’t be converted again via global.
In this case there is nothing that converts lightning away from lightning, so any initial lightning stays lightning.
The belt has no effect on the pierce outcome from conduit; since conduit resulting pierce portion is already converted, belt would only convert any starting/initial base pierce (there is none).
Scion and Shield splits the conversion portion from conduit, since it’s all counted as direct/skill conversion they happen at the same time and gets weighted out proportionally, since all the proportions here are equal it becomes simply split in 2; 50% to X 50% to Y
So the conduit offers the build a 50% dmg loss on fire/phys, but no loss on base lightning, that’s it

Ah, that means the resultant damage of Aegis is 50% lighting and 50% pieceing. Thank you for your detail explanation. Much appreciated!
