So I was wondering about what a Chaos-focused caster could use for a left-click, no cooldown attack, and realized that this skill exists, given by Void-Touched Ammo (https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2880). I have seen it being used by the Bloodsworn and it has a slow trajectory, but it fires three bolts and could be spammed. Anyone tried using it? I am on the fence about whether to make an Occultist-Arcanist (and use Chaos-changed Aether Ray) or Occultist-Inquisitor with Chaos-tainted Flames of Ignaffar. But, both are more right-click channeled skills and I’d prefer longer range left click skill too.
you are better off converting elemental to chaos and using Stormfire from seal of destruction as it is way better skill then chaos bolts.
for Leveling Greater Fireblast is also better.
It has been tried in this thread but converting Chaos to Aether on a Spellbinder.
It did work from what I remember but not because Chaos Bolts was the damage dealer.
I dunno how you could convert an item skill’s damage to the other one? It has no modifier skills… and the items that grant X% converted to Chaos damage are usually small amounts, not 100% conversions. I know only about the Servitor Slicer that converts 100% Phsyical to Chaos.
I have been playing the game since the Alpha, and I don’t still have all the items in the game, so I don’t base builds on the off chance I can find something that is randomly dropped loot… Only on what I have.
Well you should think aboot trading for it as it really is a great item
